My theme – I have selected a word for each day and will present to you blogger buddies who fit that description, along with movies, music, etc. My theme is to give back, highlight some awesome bloggers, and have fun in the process.
ADVENTUROUS
Melissa Bradley at Melissa’s Imaginarium
Now who could be more adventurous than Melissa? She’s not afraid to run with the geek boys when it comes to movies and music. She’s as much a fanboy as any many I know. She also writes erotica – now that is adventurous! Don’t let her wild nature fool you, though – she’s down to earth and a devoted friend. Hang with Melissa for a while and you’ll catch her adventurous and very genuine spirit!
Rango
Gore Verbinski directing a computer animated film. One that’s quirky and odd. One that pushes the envelope in computer animation. With Johnny Depp! It doesn’t get more adventurous than that. The animation is eye-popping and the story of a lizard in search of who he is and where he fits in to the grand scheme of life is heavy and funny. Obviously the risk paid off – Rango won Best Animated Film at the Oscars this year. And deservedly so!
Seventh Wonder - Mercy Falls
Big props to Seventh Wonder who created a masterful work about a man trapped in the town of Mercy Falls, a place that only exists in his comatose mind. This is an amazing work of progressive rock musicianship.
Ninja News
Amy Lundermans’s new book, The Misadventures of Daria Pigwidgeon, is free on Amazon through today!
Charity Bradford wrote a really awesome review of CassaFire last week. Thanks, Charity!
Are you following Melissa? See the movie Rango? Even know Seventh Wonder? (Big props to those of you who do!) And who or what would you say is ADVENTUROUS…?

Aww...You absolutely rock, Alex!!! Thank you so much for the incredible, beautiful shout out. You define the phrase true friend.
Now I'm blubbering all over my keyboard. :)
I wasn't following her, but I am now :-)
Hadn't heard of Seventh Wonder, but it does its bit to intrigue.
What a cool theme for the A to Z! And great choice of blogger, too.
I have my first post all queued up, but, dang it all, it's still Saturday here on the west coast :)
Yep, still Saturday here in CA. You never cease to amaze me, Alex. I love your theme and those are some awesome folks. Great post. Have a blast with the A-Z!
Excellent! Now I have a few new people to visit. Thanks! :O)
Awesome theme, Alex. I can't wait to read who and what you'll select every day.
Great to learn more about bloggers here Alex. I love Melissa's blog.
You're my 5th visit already for the A-Z. Nice to see posts trickling in on my blogroll. I was waiting a few hours to let the Americans and Ukers wake up but you're obviously an early bird or are prescheduling - of course that's it.
It's going to be a blast for sure.
Denise
I haven't been following but will be checking out those you mentioned. I was wondering about the movie. My son wants to see it. Will also be checking out Seventh Wonder.
I knew you'd be the first to post during the A to Z. Love your theme!
I'm just stopping by from the A to Z challenge. I like your theme of spotlighting other bloggers. That's quite thoughtful of you. I am now following you so I could read more.
Do have Melissa's blog bookmarked, and lurk there often, well should get the lurker of 2011 award.
Back in A-Z, but only pics on my photo blog since they are already happily seated in their blogger home.
6 new and 6 old blogs, that's my motto for the next 26 days.
Seventh wonder, just found the video, will check it out.
Interesting.Melissa's blog sounds familiar, but I'm not following! I will go and sort that out right now! :D
Hi Alex,
Am back, after a long break...Sorry I was not able to participate in your Cassafire promo! I feel bad. :(
Anyways, I am here to join your A-Z challenge and hoping I can make it til the end.
Read my adventurous mind, few minutes from now...:)
Amity
I can't access the participation list Alex...how am I gonna do?
*runs over to follow Melissa*
Anyone who runs with the geek boys is totally my kind of person!
I love it-your theme is perfect. Melissa is adventurous (Melissa Bradly-not this Melissa). That came out wrong. I can be adventurous, really I can, lol. I already follow her blog, but will visit it for sure during the challenge now. Cool idea, Alex.
Yes I am following Melissa, and love her blog :) I'll try to get by and read the Cassafire review.
Good luck with A-Z Alex. I've decided to take a much needed break this month, but I admire all those who are participating.

Melissa's Imaginarium - I love the name!
I thought the Clint impression in Rango was pretty amazing.
Happy A-Z!! Wasn't Mercy Falls the name of the town in Maggie Stevoieblabla's werewolf books? Or am I getting my titles mixed up...Probably the latter.
Haven't seen Rango, but it looks like rain here today so maybe I'll check it out. have to finish watching Ironman though ;-)
Great theme idea!
I keep looking at Rango and passing it over. It may be time to give it a go!
We have much the same taste in bloggers. Charity rocks.
I love Johnny Depp. Anything he does is great with me ;-)

Excellent choice on Melissa. She and DEZ and I tweet each other about THE WALKING DEAD. It's so much fun. I've not seen RANGO. I heard bad things about it. I'm sure I'll catch it eventually.
You put this up early. I was thinking of doing the same. Melissa is all kinds of awesome - great choice in choosing her to kick things off.
Melissa is certainly Adventurous:) You have a very close to heart theme, it shows in the post.
I've seen Rango. With two kids, not too many movies like this pass me by.
Still haven't seen Rango :(
Wow, what a great theme! I will have to go check out your buddies~
A is for AWESOME post! :)
I'm so glad you mentioned Melissa on this firs "A to Z" post. She's incredible, and one of the most genuine, honest and good-natured people I've met in my life.
I'm glad that Rango win the Oscar for best animated movie, though my personal favorite remains Spielberg's Tintin.
Great topic. Good start! Excited to see the entire month!

Marta, probably not!
George, she is awesome. I still have to catch Tintin!
Jan, have we 'blasted off' then?
Faraway, it could!
What is adventurous? People who can jump out of planes or bungee jump! So terrifying to me. EEk.
Will check out the adventurous folks you mentioned.
Great learning about your blogger friends here. That's a great theme.
Hiya Alex! Great theme. You rock Captain Ninja dude!

Life is adventurous!!!
What a great theme - but what else would we expect of you? Thanks for all your encouragement! I did see Rango thank you and found it very creative. Off to church now and then this afternoon I'll read more blogs!
Been following Melissas blog a long time now, great lady. So I started out taking your advice and checking out 5 blogs after my own but gave up. Because of the time difference may had not posted. Guess I am going to just wing it and have fun like you said :)
I wasn't following Melissa but I am now. Love this idea - can't wait to see who I don't know yet :)
Best Theme ever! This is going to be a brilliant fekking blog challenge.

Funny! I just read Melissa's post just before I popped in here. You've had a review of CassaFire already? Must check it out...
how fun to showcase other bloggers. and i just noticed i'm in your ninja army list. cool.
Great theme idea, Alex. I'm still groping. I'm #425, this year!
Nice A to Z theme. The Mercy Falls album sounds like a great story. I'm not much of a progressive rock fan but I'll have to give it a listen.
Love the theme!

Awesome theme! I am not following Melissa...off to check her out now. Thanks for the heads up about Google Reader is your past posts. I have started using it and it is very helpful. :-) You rule. Have a great day A-Zing!

I did see Rango. And you're right. It doesn't get more adventurous than that. I mean Johnny Depp as an eye-popping lizard sheriff?
Happy April Fool's Day!
My kids loved Rango.
Alex, thanks for pointing out some greats sites to visit! Ready for a rockin' April!
Rango was a great film. Loved it.
What a great theme!
What a great theme!
I never saw Rango and I do not know Seventh Wonder.
And I need to visit Melissa's blog.
Hurray melissa!
Alex you are so going to rock this challenge. I finally finished all my A-Z posts last Friday so now I'm able to visit you and the rest of my bloggy friends--oh and make new ones too. I still have to get my hands on your books though!

Awesome start to the A-Z! Thanks for the heads up to Melissa, Rango and Seventh Wonder. I'm going to check them all out. I do love Johnny Depp:)
Not that I didn't like Rango, because I did, but I didn't think it was best picture quality.
I think you must have crashed Melissa's page by sending too many viewers over there; I can't get it to open.
But I will check back later.
Personally, I think you should give me the bounty over on Briane's blog... it would give me a boost against Grumpy.
:P
I'm following Melissa now. Haven't heard of Seventh Wonder. Thanks for introducing it. Congrats to Amy on the release of her new book.
And oh, I have seen Rango with my family. Fun movie :-)
Jenn, I bet you're doing it right.
Sheila, couldn't skip church, Challenge or not.
Siv, start tonight and I bet they will all be up.
Lass, what you said!
Susan, I've had many reviews now.
Michelle, of course you are there!!!
Tracy, glad it's helping you.
Edi, you will dig her.
Nutschell, thanks.
Andrew, sorry I killed off Melissa's site. And I think that's hilarious there's a bounty on my comment.
I love your theme, Alex. This is one of the things that makes you so awesome.
I like animated films, so I may see Rango, haven't yet.
Adventure? I felt like an adventurer when we traveled to the Dry Tortugas, an old pirate spot, 70 miles or so off Key West, Fla.
It was on a choppy, rainy day that cleared a bit when we arrived. (how choppy? enough to make a good third of the people ill)
Nice of you to highlight fellow bloggers of note, Alex.
Great theme, Alex. Melissa's blog is awesome! My nephews were raving about Rango just the other day. I really need to see it.
Love your theme! I haven't met Melissa yet. Off to correct that! :)
I have to check all those out. Thanks!

Absolutely amazingly awesome, Alex. ;-)
I'm a BIG fan of Melissa's Imaginarium. Her blog is filled with cool stuff (and sexy stuff too).
I love the theme--what a fun sampling of cool stuff. Seventh Wonder's album sounds like a great concept. Thanks for pointing them out.
I know a few writer friends who are adventurous. Never saw Rango.
I'm a follower of Melissa and she's a great choice for Adventurous. I'm having lots of fun visiting A to Z blogs today. I hope I can instill a great sense of adventure in my son since I so love it myself.

I didn't see the movie Rango yet although my grandsons tell me I am missing out on a good movie. :) I am not really sure when I think about the word adventurous who would literally fit that part I am guessing it would be someone the likes of Indiana Jones. :)
Love you choice here, Alex. I haven't visited Melissa in a while. Thanks for the link.

You've already outdone yourself, Alex, and this is just the start. Great, fun-filled post, and I adore Melissa.

Yes, I follow Melissa, and no I haven't seen Rango. It seemed like such a waste of Johnny Depp's face :-)
Melissa sounds great, will go and check her out. I loved Rango too :) Great start to the A-Z.
Adventurous??? How about learning to drive in Massachusetts. Holy cret, it's crazy here. =D
Sarah - funny!

Annalisa, it's good though.

Adventurous is never a bad thing to be!
I wish I had the time to participate! But at the very least I'll be stopping by some blogs and finding new favorites. Thanks for pointing them out.
Brilliant idea for a theme, and also so very Alex ; )
- I follow Melissa already
- I loved Rango
- never heard of Seventh Wonder but will check it out asap
- adventurous...today, that would be my miniature dachshund, who was barking away in our garden this morning - only she was nowhere to be seen and wouldn't come when we called. We eventually found her halfway up the inside of our hedge, unable to climb back down.
It's just like you to pack a lot into a theme! But I'm going to love it, this I know. Heading off to meet Melissa.

Great word to start out the Challenge! Melissa has a fantastic blog, I'm a follower and will be heading over there now.
Just left Melissa's. Isn't she great?
And I knew Rango.
I'm getting better at this movie stuff, huh?
An exciting "A" to start with! Or should I say "adventurous"? Yay for another A-Z challenge, and I'm excited to do it again this year.
What an imaginative A post, Alex. I just got to watch HUGO last night. RANGO is next on my list!
I reckon anyone doing the A to Z is pretty adventurous!
What a great theme idea! You make such great efforts to connect with other bloggers--I really appreciate that :)

Loved Rango. I giggled through the whole thing. Loved the fun it had with Westerns. I brought all four of my sons, ages 11-17, and we all enjoyed it.

I love the personality you bring to A to Z, Alex!
I don't know these people, but thanks for introducing them today. They sound amazing. I look on the old archaeologists as adventurous. The man who discovered Troy was just an amateur.
Greetings, Ninja Captain. Thanks for pointing me in the direction of some juicy listening and reading, and congrats on the newest book.
Hi Alex
Great idea, word of the day and deserving blogger buddies.

Nope I hadn't heard of seventh wonder. What a great theme for the challenge. All the best.

Adrianne, thanks!
Jess, you can do it.
Golden, and that's really not me either.

Thank you SO much everyone!
I love me some Johnny Depp, but just not his works.
What a very nice friend thing to do on your first day of A to Z!
Now following you.

Thanks, Theres.
Hooray ALEX! Thanks for the blogs to read as always! You rock
Writing erotica is WAY adventurous--kudos to Melissa. I was cringing the first time I wrote a sex scene, ha ha.
This is so nice of you to do. I do know Melissa! She's great!
Rango is a movie I have been wanting to see. I'll have to make a point of seeing it.
I'm really liking your theme... shame I'll miss most of the posts as I won't be here... hmm might have to see how I can get access while overseas.
Loving your idea. The Challenge is a great vehicle through which to give back. 2 posts down for me, 24 to go!
Judy
What a lovely thing to do for friends. I'm inspired by some of the topic choices people have made. I just love the insight into people's minds, don't you?
Rhia #873 on A to Z list
My friend Meg hated Rango. Dunno why.
They are off and running for the April A to Z challenge!!!
Thanks Alex for co-hosting I know its loads of work
cheers
I did see the movie Rango. I hadn't been so sure about it at first, but it was pretty funny.
I'd say that my cats are adventurous. LOL
Melissa has an awesome blog. Love her. Great 'A' post!
Great post Alex and I just love your theme! Thank you for the mention - you rock! :)
Adventure, that big word. I was looking range with my son and was very funny.
You're welcome Alex. It was all true. ;)
Melissa is fantastic :) I've not seen Rango. That album sounds interesting. I'll have to check it out.
TF, traveling sounds more fun though!
Michael, maybe it was too quirky for her.
Amy, you're welcome!
Awesome theme (or is it themes), Alex! Rango looks like a good movie, but I haven't gotten a chance to see it yet. And I do follow Melissa already. :)
Alex, the most adventourous part of Rango is he recorded it with them all in the same room. Usually, they use a sepearte booth for each actor. One stray cough could ruin a whole scene!

But don't worry, I am dropping by Melissa's blog next. Sounds like a great blog.
I still haven't seen Rango. I really should.
I didn't love Rango as much as I thought with all the hype. But it was good.
What a fun and awesome theme Alex! I loved meeting these ADVENTUROUS bloggers!
