13th Floor series: 1302 - The Alpha by Christine Rains
You’ve probably seen her around the blogging world this week, touring for the first book, The Marquis. The second book in the series, The Alpha, comes out in January.
And look for Christine to visit the Ninja Army next May.
Christmas Music and Movies
With everyone posting their favorites, thought I’d have some fun with this!
There are some really great classics out there, but when it comes down to it, nothing beats A Christmas Story. Even though it’s set in the late 40’s, most of us can relate on some level with Ralphie’s life. (Although hopefully none of us got a bunny suit for Christmas.)
For music, I like the traditional songs with a contemporary twist, such as the spin TSO puts on the music. But for dumb fun, you can’t beat the Twelve Days of Christmas – Bob and Doug McKenzie style! I can’t hear the original version without thinking about French toast and beer. (And of course, the awesome Geddy Lee of Rush sang on that album on the song “Take Off,” so I’m a little biased.)
Hosted by Chuck at Apocalypse Now and Shannon at The Warrior Muse.
This is how I see it going down…
(Especially since you all believe I have a cloning machine.)
The Ninja clones were lonely, so I decided to clone Kate Beckinsale. Cloning takes time, and the Ninja clones were growing impatient. So I turned the dial to eleven to speed up the process.
All of a sudden, Kates were shooting out everywhere! I couldn’t even get to the plug and had to make a run for it. It wasn’t long before they covered everything, slowly smothering the land in a layer of Kates. We were all doomed.
Was I prepared to be smothered by a million Kate Beckinsales?
No, but what a way to go!
Now I’m done for the year! See you on January 2 for the first IWSG of 2013.
Been keeping up with Roland’s tips? Signed up for the Martian Blogfest? Picking up EJ’s books or reading Christine’s? What’s your favorite Christmas song or movie? And how would YOUR apocalypse go down?
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
"For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord." - Luke 2:11

I'm so glad you decided to jump in! Kates, huh? Well, the guys would have a good death...
Must check out the alien blog fest!
So excited for EJ and Christine!
Christmas Story rocks.
Shannon at The Warrior Muse
Turning the dial up to eleven is always dangerous business! Yet there are certainly worse ways to die.
That's a nice surprise, indeed. :)
I already signed up for Maurice cool blogfest, and I can't wait to let everyone know which my favorite aliens are.
A Christmas Story is the best Christmas movie ever. Period!:)
So no more comments from you until 2013? Damn, I'll miss those...
Thanx for the recommendations.
I'm back!
Layers of Kate are at least much better than layers of Mini-Alexeses'es :)
My fave Christmas movie is Scrooge - most versions. Grinch with Jim Carey, A Wonderful Life, The Holiday, and National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. I LOVE Christmas movies!!
I'll head over and check out the blogfest!
I may miss my first IWSG on 2nd Jan Alex - Forgive me. We'l be in Vegas. :D I could schedule it, but then peeps would leave comments and I'll not be able to return the favour, which seems terribly selfish. But I won't miss this again. :D
I always leave here smiling. :D Have a great Christmas/New Year to you and your wife!
Shah @
shahwharton.com
Shannon, couldn't say no. Sorry, if you can get to the machine, feel free to throw Hugh Jackman in.
LG, because eleven is higher than ten!
George, Maurice's blogfest will be fun. And I'll be commenting - just no posts. Really!
Lass, and we have missed you!!!!
Mark, that's the truth!!!
Shah, that's all right! Won't kick you out of the IWSG. Vegas sounds more fun. Glad I can make you smile!
Great to se your unexpected post, Lots of good books around.
Have a wonderful Christmas also to your wife who deserve "Wife of the Year Award"
See you next year.
Yvonne.
Okay that last line "No but what a way to go." Bahahaaa! That was awesome! I could hear them all in unison, "Hello, Alex."
Glad you were able to do one last post.
Enjoy your holidays!
thanks for share..that's for Christmas day. Mary Christmas to all.
Christmas Music Online
Merry Christmas!
I really want to see my book The Man in the Cinder Clouds made into a movie. I wrote it with the big screen in mind, I think it would make a great Christmas film. Some day, maybe.
Hannah's back! Yay! *does a little dance*
Have a wonderful Christmas and may 2013 be blessed beyond belief. ;-)
This is indeed a surprise!
Thank you for mentioning the 13th Floor series by Christine Rain.
It is not my cup of tea BUT my wife likes it. So could surprise her today with something new.
I will have to go and congratulate Christine on book 2 of 13th Floor!
I hope you enjoy Christmas and New Years, best wishes to everyone. Keep safe!
Christmas movie? It has to be Muppets' Christmas and Mexican old movie called the Three Wise Men. Christmas song? There's one in English I simply love but I don't know the name :(. My apocalypse, since Mexico City is an area of earthquakes, it's either that or the nearby volcano, the Popocatepetl (dare you to say it three times)
I'll dance with you! :-)
Aw, thanks Alex!! I hope you have a happy Christmas! And wow, I'm typing and the world didn't end. Imagine that!
Congratulations to EJ! And thank you so much for participating in my cover reveal. Ah, a million Kates. The end of the world never looked that good before! Merry Christmas and have a fantastic new year!
Smothered in Kates...that's a pretty funny apocalypse! Thanks for the visual and Merry Christmas!
Yvonne, she does indeed.
Mina, glad I could make you laugh.
Rick, you never know!
Misha, she is!
Edi, hope she enjoys the series.
Al, not sure I could say it once!
Hannah, just happy you are back.
Christine, you are welcome.
Glad you did this final posting of the year! Will definitely check out the suggested links, and Bob and Doug's version of the 12 Days Christmas is hilarious! Today is windy so I'll pass on the beer, in a tree! :) Again Merry Christmas to you and your family and A Happy and Safe New Year!
Yay for Hannah being back!! And of course for good ol' Bob & Doug, eh! Enjoy a fantastic Christmas, Alex :)
I think it's going to happen like a cross between The Stand and The Walking Dead. Either way, I better learn how to use a crossbow. Fast.
Merry Christmas, Alex!
So excited for Christine and EJ! Also, when you get that cloning machine fixed, can I borrow it? (;
Merry Christmas to you and your family, have a great one!
Merry Christmas! And thank you for breaking blog silence. Sincerely appreciate all you do. :-)
Christine's latest sounds amazing!
Christmas Story is easily in my top 3. I think Christmas Vacation sits atop my list, though. Frighteningly close to my family holiday experience most years. :)
Glad you could make it to the blogfest! Now go take a well-earned vacation!
WOW...a Christmas bonus! :)
Happy Holidays, Alex!
Smothered by Kate Beckinsale... yeah, I could go that way. I enjoy her movies. =)
Merry Christmas, Alex.
LOL - Kates! Should've known.
The Martian blogfest sounds fun.
Merry Christmas, Alex.
Woohoo! Bundle!!!
Yay for Christine, a favorite in my blogosphere universe.
I never seen the entire movie, A Christmas Story. Maybe this year...
I'm so not surprised about Kate. Merry Christmas!
Lots of great announcements! Glad you decided to post one more time. Have a great holiday! :)
There's so many great announcements. Hard to stay away, huh? :) Hoping the very best for you. Have a fabulous holiday season. See you next year!
Great surprise Alex! That sounds like an awesome blogfest and thanks for the shout-out. I think being smothered by one Kate Beckinsale would be a great way to die. Two or three? Even better.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Yes, do not worry, the world did not end.
Alex, you have yourself a great holiday. I'm happy to have connected with you this year. You're one rockin' dude! Have a great start to 2013--I have a feeling it's going to be a great year all around!
Wait... how did you catch Kate to clone her? Or is this one of those Weird Science things?
Wow that's a lot! The Grinch is m,y Favorite Christmas movie. WE watch it every year on Christmas eve.
Happy holidays Alex.
Hi Alex .. yes I saw Roland's series and I'm saving them for a good read through this weekend I hope ..
Have a great Christmas festive season and a brilliant 2013 with lots more success - cheers to you both - Hilary
That's a very serendipitous apocalypse.
You tricked us! I knew you couldn't stay away from the apocalypse. Your vision is a fun fictional fantasy. You and your clones.
Lee
Tossing It Out
I'll definitely check out Hannah's new blog. Awesome apocalypse idea, btw. Thanks for visiting my blog, Alex. I'm pretty much done until the new year, too. Uh, no pun intended. :D Have a Merry Christmas!
Gossip Girl, no way that beer would stay in the tree in the wind we're experiencing right now.
Elise, yes you may!
EJ, you're welcome.
DL, that's one way to look at it.
Huntress, you need to watch it.
Maurice, you're welcome, and I'll take any number.
Randi, yes it will be!
Andrew, I lured her in with the promise of another Underworld movie.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
Ha, surviving males will sing your praises for eternity with the Kate clone. :)
Happy Apocalypse - not! And happy holidays.
I think you stole MY cloning idea. We shall have a fight to the death now.
Glad to see you're still posting regularly! Have a wonderful Christmas! :)
The world didn't end, plus I got another Alex post. How kewl is that! I'm going grab a hot chocolate and check out these links. Merry Christmas, Captain!
Yes! I love Kate. A fantastic way to go!!
Precious Monsters
EJ is one of my favorite people. And his work is AWESOME. Seriously, the guy has a gift.
And I was surprised to see another post! Sneaky Ninja. Always keeping us on our toes. :-)
Lots happening as usual. Have a super Christmas.
I can't decide what my fav Christmas film would be. I used to watch While You Were Sleeping every Christmas.
I love Hark the Herald Angels sing and the descant in O Come All Ye Faithful.
Merry Christmas, Alex -- and thanks for stopping by my end of the world!
I kind of like the idea of a My Favorite Martian blog fest. I'm going to sign up for that one.
Merry Christmas to you, Alex.
I know you're going to have fun with your Kate Beckinsale clones. I am reminded of a quote from Office Space. "Two girls at one time. That's what I'd do."
You tricked us big time. I thought you were on a blogging break, Alex.
But, what a way to go! Kates everywhere.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in the first week of January 2013.
I hope you have a Merry Christmas, Alex, and that all your Kate Beckinsale clone dreams come true.
That may be the best way to go I've read yet! Nice one, Alex. Cloning ninjas will almost, if not guarantee the end of the world. :)
I love the Bob and Doug McKenzie thing! And I'm so glad to see Hannah Kincade back :)
Lots of luck to those with new books!
Merry Christmas to all!
Ho-Ho-Ho :)
Cate, yes they will!
PTM, I'll bring my army, you bring yours.
Jolie, yes!
Morgan, you never expected it...
Milo, even though I now know I'm dead.
Michael, only in my dreams...
Merry Christmas, guys!!
Whoa, wake up Alex, cos' you're totally dreaming about all those Kates - but I do believe you have a cloning machine...so maybe it could happen...
A Christmas Story is an awesome classic. They usually run a weekend marathon of it so you can tune in any time.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too Alex. Nice of you to promote these books and blogfest. Will definitely buy E.J.'s book is I can just get my hands on an Amazon giftcard. A million Kates? Yeah you're definitely a guy. Bye til Jan 2!
I get my very own Kate clone??!?!?! OH wow!!! Roll on the apocalypse!!

i have to say, looks like we made it... so far. you had me at a million kates... what a wonderful world it would be.
did geddy lee have a solo album, eh.
great day everyone and you ninja-bo'oy!
I'm definitely going to check out Roland's post. I need some advice. And you were right, your apocalypse is silly, but quite unique, and what a way to go! Happy Holidays!!
Hahaha I saw the Apocalypse Blogfest and laughed so hard! That is so funny. I love it. Then you cloned poor Kate! What will her mother do at Christmas?
Thanks for this. It made my day : )
Happy Xmas, Alex. Best wishes to you and yours.
Have a great Christmas.
I check out Roland's blog as much as I read yours, Alex. Great writing tips with Roland's special touch.
Thanks for the links.
Happy Holidays and Best wishes for a great 2013.
Congratulations to EJ and Christine!
Also, can we clone a few Nathan Fillions before the apocalypse? I want the end of the world to be shiny. ;)
Merry Christmas!
Congratulations to Christine and E.J.!
I love A Christmas Story. It's one of those movies that never gets old, no matter how many times you've seen it.
Gwen, it could happen...
Jeremy, it would be wonderful. We'd all get a Kate that way.
Karen, go broke!
Carrie, feel free! If you find the machine under all those Kates.
Thanks guys and everyone have an awesome Christmas!
You're right, nothing beats A Christmas Story.
I'm glad you went out with a smile.
Have a wonderful Xmas and New Year's, Alex.
xoRobyn
Have a wonderful Christmas, Alex.
:)
Just dropping by to say have a safe and Merry Christmas.
Mason
Thoughts in Progress
lol, drowned by Kates. I had a little giggle...
Yay for Chrtine and EJ
Have a wonderful Christmas and new year.
Blessings,
Lyn
Robyn, I'm grinning!
Lynda, glad I could make you giggle.
Hehe! You funny boy. Kate Beckinsale is who I see whenever I see my character, Kayta. XD
Made me think of Santa Clause II where they cloned a bunch of toy soldiers.
Have a great holiday.
Lots of good info as usual :-) Merry Christmas, Alex, and see you (well not really) in the New Year!
Merry Christmas, Alex, and Happy 2013! Looks like we made it through Dec. 21 even with all the Kates!!!
Monti
Mary Montague Sikes
HHS, too much of a good thing.... ;)
Haha** I blame iPad autocorrect
Alex you win the Best Way To Go award!!! Never even saw that coming but very nice. The alien blogfest sounds interesting and the writers as always are impressive.
Have a safe holiday season and I am really glad you played today.
Take care my friend!
Chuck
Mel, I just put a new spin on her, didn't I?
SC, my iPad does that as well.
Chuck, knew you'd like it!!
Kate Beckinsale, huh? Lots and lots of Kate Beckinsales. Yeah, ok. I could see how that might bring on apocalypse :) Great post, as usual!
My favorite Christmas song is The Christmas Song and my favorite Christmas movie is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Nothing beats the squirrel jumping out of the Christmas tree and scaring the entire family to death! Hilarious!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
My favorite Christmas movie is still the old Miracle on 34th Street...and the song is Silent Night (as sung by Bing Crosby). Little old-fashioned me...
Merry Christmas to you. I love George C. Scott's Christams Carol. I also love TSO and listen to it more than any other Christmas music. Checking out the Martian fest.
Excellent apocalypse, Alex. Up until the dial got turned to eleven, it was the American dream: a Kate in very home.
Still, 'tis a far, far better thing than any ninja-inflicted death.
have a merry christmas mr ninja man!!
More good new books to read -- thanks for the update.
And yes, I can definitely see you choosing an apocalypse with Kate Beckinsale.
Merry Christmas Captain Ninja! you deserve a break
Melissa, that's why I always check my tree for squirrels.
Patricia, nothing wrong with that.
Susan, TSO rocks.
Nate, it was the American male dream...
Helena, no surprise, huh?
Merry Christmas, everyone!
Smothered by Kates- that would certainly be an interesting way to go. Do we get a girl version where maybe we can be smothered by Hugh Jackmans??? Now, that would be fun.
I need to check out Roland's posts- he rocks and I've temporarily replaced the blogosphere with shopping, cooking and a bunch of birthdays. Merry Christmas to you too Alex.
I agree with Tracy - and I'd settle for clones of Hugh Jackman, thank you very much! ;-p
SueH (I Refuse To Go Quietly!)
Yes, we expect the invasion of your ninja clones.
Sorry I missed the news with the Blogfest. Since you visited my blog you know I have been busy with trees down on my fencing and animals running amok. They are all contained today. (smile)
Enjoyed your story about the Kates running amok.
My favorite Christmas song is "Little Drummer Boy." I think I play a mean arrangement on my guitar, if I can be so bold as to say that. (smile)
Merry Christmas and good cheer for the New Year.
LOL, Alex. Why am I not surprised by your Kate-pocalypse?
Have a great holiday and new year!!
As a palindrome myself, I've enjoyed Hannah's posts. Great tips at Roland's too and E.J is awesome. Hope your Christmas is blessed.
That's what I get for believing a Ninja! Last post was it?
Wow! To be smothered by an ocean of Kate's. Certainly a memorable way to go. For me it would be Cate's or Olivia's (Wilde)! :-)
Thank you so much for pointing out my posts to help others struggling to write a bestseller! High sales for E.J.!
Have a healing and happy Christmas, EVERYONE!
All the best to Chuck.
Ninja News
Will check - out Roland's blog.
Wishing Nigel and Maurice a successful blogfest.
Welcome back, Hannah Kincade.
Congrats to E. J. Wesley on the release of her second book.
All the best to Christine Rains.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too, Ninja Captain.
at least you'll die happy!
Kate Beckinsale....mm, wondering what that choice says about you ;)
Happy Christmas Alex.
so wonderful to be still traveling the same blogpath here with you - and what a whirlwind path it is with the ninja captain and his army! wishing you and yours a fabulous holiday season filled with peace and love - xxx jenean
Tracy and Sue, clones of him have been requested!
Maryann, I would like to hear you play it!
Roland, I need to keep you guys on your toes. Smothered by Olivias wouldn't be bad either. And you are most welcome - the whole series was great.
Merry Christmas, Peaches!
Rebecca, that I like beautiful women?
Gypsy, Merry Christmas to you!
The ninja force is weakening! No way! Can you spare a Kate clone for Christmas, LOL.
I've signed up for GeekTwins Martian Blogfest, should be a hoot! Merry Christmas, Alex.
Greetings to you, Alex,
I am here on behalf of the human, Gary. He was caught off guard that you entertained your attentive audience with another posting before the dawning of the New Year.
And thus, good human, I am typing in his place. He has mentioned to me that the alleged end of the world did indeed cost him his life savings. To think he placed a bet on the end of the world actually happening.
May you and your loved ones, your adoring fans, wee folks, all creatures of this fragile and beleaguered planet, realise a new ideal that rejoices in the wondrous diversity.
In kindness and magic for a peaceful Christmas and a hopeful New Year,
Geoffrey the garden gnome
Congratulations to E.J.!
I love that Bob and Doug Mackenzie song. It always cracks me up.
Death by Beckinsales...makes sense. ;-)
Some Dark Romantic
Really Alex? Take a break. I give you permission :)
.....dhole
No bunny suit for me!
Choose Your Own Ppocalypse? Ha!
Spacerguy, I think I can spare a Kate or two!
Geoffrey, hopefully the Wee Folk can raise some money for Gary. Wouldn't want him to be broke during the holidays and be unable to spoil Penny. May all of you experience true Christmas magic!
Deniz, it's funny!
Mina, of course.
Donna, going on break now...
Elizabeth, I couldn't resist.
Smothering under a pile of clones would be a little uncomfortable. I have smotheredbypeopleaphobia - I was a kid in Cincinnati when all the kids died at the Who concert. Maybe that's why I don't like crowds....
Yes, you're ready to be smothered.
Thanks for sharing all the news! I signed up for the Martian blogfest.
I haven't seen A Christmas Story in Decades.
Happy Christmas and New Year to you!
Roland is awesome! So full of amazing advice.
Love all the great info you have today. =)
Merry, merry Christmas to you and yours, Alex!
I checked out Roland's post--good one!
My fave Christmas song? The Holly and the Ivy.
How would my apoc go down? It would be explosive and thrilling, and then time would twist around to a regenerative brane of a world.
Have a very Merry holiday!
HAHA, nice way to die if you're into that sort of thing! Nice work Alex. :P I'm sure the Ninja clones were too distracted to care about imminent death!
That alien blogfest looks fun, I'm going to check it out!
I'm watching "A Christmas Story" now! Chuck's blog is hilarious...love it!
♥ Merry Christmas! ♥
Merry Christmas Alex:)
Hope you and the Mrs. have a wonderful Xmas, Alex! Ho Ho Ho!!
haha! Love A Christmas Story!
Merry Christmas!!!!
Merry Christmas, everyone!!!
I LOVE EJ's writing! I've read Witch's Nocturne, totally worth buying. ;)
A Christmas Story is the best! I love that bunny suit and plan to make one for all my future grandchildren. Lol
Have a great Christmas and New Year!
Ah! Now we know your secret - Kate Beckinsale :-D
Have a happy Christmas and New Year, Alex.
Hope you have a very Merry (ninja) Christmas, Alex.
Thanks again for all you do :)
Happy Happy Christmas, Alex!
Merry Christmas, Alex! Hope you and your family have a much-deserved peaceful and Happy Holidays. ;)
Hi Alex, I've been out of pocket for a while. I hope you're doing well. I wanted to hop over here and check out the Ninja Army. A few of your best movies will be on my list as well.
I haven't seen Lincoln and Argo, but I heard they were excellent.
I do disagree on Prometheus, although I was very frustrated by the film as well. There were so many things in that film that made NO sense, but I still thought that the film was technically (visually) flawless. Ridley Scott is an amazing visual director. Unfortunately the storyline was written by the guy from 'Lost.' He really messed up a good thing.
Merry Christmas! Thanks for the support all year!
Monti
You're even considerate to your clones! Thanks for always spreading good cheer! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Alex! Enjoy your break!
Julie
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a New Year full of joy with your loved ones. Leovi.
Hey Ninja Captain!
It was a pleasure to have EJ stop my blog to share his novel on Christmas Eve :-)
Merry Christmas, Alex! I hope you enjoy a prosperous New Year.
Hi, Alex! Just watched A Christmas Story yesterday afternoon. Watch it every year. Poor Ralphie and that bunny suit, LOL.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Happy New Year!
roland has awesome tips!
congrats ej & christine, reading the marquis now!
winter wonderland by annie lenox
and happy happy new year!
Love The Alpha Cover... I need to check this series out while they're still being written!
As for best holiday movie, I'm not on the bandwagon of A Christmas Story. I think it might be a kid thing. Never saw it growing up and now watching it I just am not a fan. My favorite - Stealing Christmas with Tony Danza and Lea Thompson. Can't help but love!
I'm glad I stopped by to see this post! Hope you had a lovely Christmas. Best wishes for a wonderful New Year!
I hope you had a Merry Christmas Alex!!
Libby, already own it!
Miranda, you will not be the favorite grandmother.
Mariah, visually it was amazing, but I couldn't get over the plot holes. You need to watch Lincoln and Argo - both with win Oscars.
Julie, need to keep the clones happy!
Suzanne, it's required viewing!
Jen, not sure I've seen that one.
Hope everyone had an awesome Christmas!
Hope your Christmas was wonderful Alex and sure hope I can get back to blogging on a regular basis before the 2013 A-Z challenge! Cheers to the new yer :)
Hi Alex!! Sorry I'm so late stopping by. Just wanted to say Merry Christmas. I hope you had a great one!!
My favorite holiday movie is The Ref. We watch it every year. :)
See you in 2013!
I hope you're having a wonderful Christmas. Wishing you a great 2013! See you on the 2nd!
I hope you had a peaceful and blessed Christmas Alex!
Wishing you a wonderful and prosperous New Year
(P.S. Amazon can be a real pain if you outside of the US and UK, so I put in an order for Cassastar at my local bookstore. They said I'll probably have to wait till end January for it, but at least I'll get to read it... )
'There are some really great classics out there, but when it comes down to it, nothing beats A Christmas Story. Even though it’s set in the late 40’s, most of us can relate on some level with Ralphie’s life. (Although hopefully none of us got a bunny suit for Christmas.)'
Aw, come on, admit it. You got the suit from your own Aunt Clara. :)
Hope you had a beautiful, beautiful Christmas, Al. Here's to the incoming year!
It certainly looks fun book Witch's Nocturne
Buried in Kates! Totally original! LOVE it.
A Christmas Story certainly is a great classic. We watch it every year, along with The Peanuts Christmas, and "It's a Wonderful Life."
Happy New Year, ninja buddy!

hope you had a great christmas and enjoy the new year!!!
Hope you had a Merry Christmas! My favorite movies are Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story. I love reading The Polar Express- and I love all the songs. I can't get enough Christmas music during the holidays. :)

Women everywhere during the apocalypse will roll their eyes at you while they quietly grab an axe and do what needs to be done...to the Beckinsales of course.
Almost as good as Christmas morning!
Thanks for keeping us all up to date!
I left you a little something on my blog today.
Happy New Year!

Tamara, that's a good one!
Michelle, thank you, and sorry it's such a hassle!
Suze, thank God no one in my family is that crazy. And yes, Christmas was wonderful.

Christine's books certainly look interesting...
wohoo! Ninjas are sneaky by nature. (I know bec. I snuck in one last post for the year, too).
And yes, Alex, you are one of my fave authors--and possibly my most favorite blogger.
Have a happy new year!
