A Modest Internet Star Visits, Ninja News Overload, Award, and Movie Trivia

Juliana Haygert interviewed me and it's up now!

Modest Internet Star

Today I have a treat for you – a doggie treat! Yes, Penny the Jack Russell dog and Modest Internet Star is visiting today, with a little help from her owner, Gary.

Greetings and lucky you, yes it's me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest Internet star. First of all, I wish to thank that very kind human, Alex, for allowing me the opportunity to amaze you with my guest 'pawsting', sorry, posting.

I submit the occasional posting over at my human Gary's site aka "klahanie". By example, my ongoing mission is to help make Gary a better writer. Alas, he's struggling. However, I've managed to teach him a few simple tricks like, roll over, beg and shake a hand.

I was recently interviewed by Gary. One of his questions was, "Do you have any writing suggestions for aspiring authors?" To which I replied, "Write from the heart. Make your writing intimate. Write in such a way that your reader really feels like you're talking directly to them. Make your reader care about the story. Most importantly, grab and hold onto the reader's attention from the very first sentence. Never give up and pursue your dream. Do your best to make your dream a reality.

Yes, I'm flattered to be famous. Although the pesky 'puparazzi' are forever hounding me. And I tried to add some "snark", whatever that is, to this posting. I figure it must be a mixture of snore and bark!

The vital ingredient of my writing is that I demonstrate the unconditional, non-judgemental love that we animals give to humanity. We have lessons to teach. If only mankind would listen.

If you have never visited the site I 'pawblish' on, here it is, Klahanie.

Once again, thank you Alex, my human friend.

Thank YOU, Penny! You are now a Modest Internet Superstar.

So wait if I can ask Penny the dog a question I will.. Penny I am trying to teach my dog Isabel to have one big bowl of dry food once a day instead of three/four little ones. My question is it common for you dogs to eat the whole thing at once?

Alex, in the director's chair... it's funny some of them it's like really... they directed that!

Last, can you in your travels please stop over to "http://www.13chills.com", it's any easy way to read and win some cool prizes. I am trying to beef up the response, not because I represent the label running the shindig...

Thanks, have a great day!

Michael, it's simple and everyone seems to enjoy the IWSG so much. I keep a calendar for my blog and also keep track of where I'm doing a guest post. As for everything else, I see it and copy it into Word immediately.

Hi humans and other curious creatures. Good grief, I go out more a walk, skilfully avoiding the pesky 'puparazzi' and I come back and note all these really pawesome comments.

So here goes with my replies.

Hi L.G Keltner - Nice to see you here. Very good of you to help with "ISWG". Arf! Arf! :)

Hi Hilary -I know how thrilled Alex was to have me grace him with one of my pawblishings :)

Hi Charmaine Clancy - I keep my room real neat and tidy. I have been quite pawlific recently :)

Hi mooderino - I like movies. Not those scary horror ones, though :)

Hi Donna Hole - Thanks Donna. I'm pawesome! :)

Hi C.M. Brown - I think that's well cool you are helping out Alex with "IWSG" :)

Hi Kyra Lennon - These "bloghops" seem to have a certain bounce about them. Nice meeting you :)

Hi Yvonne - I'm really pleased you liked my article. Thanks for thinking I'm a cutie :)

Good grief, I made a typo. I went out 'for' a walk.

Yes, Penny the Jack Russell is continuing with replies. Yay!

Hi michelle - Nice to see you. Pawesome wishes, Penny the Jack Russell dog.

Hi (Retro-Zombie) - From my own preference, I prefer to have a big bowl of dog food. However, I usually just eat a bit at a time. Go out for a walk etc..and then have some more. Truth be known, I prefer my human's food. I should point out that some dogs I know will woof down the entire contents at once. Perhaps Isobel prefers eating smaller portions spread out.

Hi Laura Eno - Thank you. My tail is wagging with pawsitive ideas! :)

Hi George Beremov [Nebular] - Speaking of teeth, I am a canine :)

Hi Elizabeth Spann Craig/Riley Adams - Indeed, my human friend, never give up! :)

Hi Cindy - Thank you for that. Always trying to teach humans my wisdom :)

Hi Old Kitty - Yes, I took some time out of my busy schedule to delight you with a pawsting over here :) Your compliments are most kind. As for that human, Gary...:)

Hey, Alex!

Ah, I love movie trivia and a Horror theme is quite appropriate.

Let me give it a crack.

1). This one is easy. Peter Jackson before he entered the magical land of Tolkien.

2). I'm not certain on this director as I've not seen the movie, but it has that Rob Reiner sound and feel (not to be confused with his excellent King adaptation, Misery).

3). Another gimme. Coppola in what was for me his last memorable film. I don't recall anything of importance or fun he's done since the early 90's.

4). Wes Craven. Never seen it, though.

5). One of Hollywood's most underrated directors, Michael Mann, at a time when he was honing his formidable visual talents. Thief, released a few years prior, is one of the best movies of the 80's.

Great post, buddy! Have a great weekend :)

Thanks for liking my guest post. I reckon Gary might get some inspiration from my writing.

Gary is lucky to have me and I have taught him lessons about how us animals display non-judgemental, unconditional love. Ah the trees and the wisdom you find in the swaying of every branch :)
