FRIENDLY - A to Z Challenge - and Next Blogfest!!!

It’s the third A to Z Challenge! Blog the letters of the alphabet in order every day except Sundays The participation list is HERE - start with the blog after yours and visit at least five blogs a day. Mostly, make new friends and have fun!

My theme – I have selected a word for each day and will present to you blogger buddies who fit that description, along with movies, music, etc. My theme is to give back, highlight some awesome bloggers, and have fun in the process.

FRIENDLY

Talli Roland You’ve probably heard me rave about the cutest Canadian English girl on the Internet. But the ‘cute’ extends far past Talli’s appearance. She is a genuine friend to all. You will feel welcome the moment you visit her blog. (And she often serves wine!) This woman cannot possibly have any enemies, and I envy that. Talli is the real deal – an awesome author and pure joy to know!

Kathy at Life on the Muskoka River
This Canadian lass is about as friendly as they come. I don’t think she knows a stranger. If she thinks she doesn’t know you well enough, she’ll dig until she does! Her blog is warm and welcome place, and she regularly features “Letters from a Friend.” Positive and upbeat, Kathy brings a lot of sunshine to the blogging world.

Psych
I’m taking a few liberties and changing friendly to friendship. This hilarious show centers on the friendship of Shawn and Gus as they run their Psychic Detective agency. It’s one of the few shows I enjoy watching over and over. Check it out if you want to brighten up your day.

Ninja News

We’ve been waiting for the cover reveal and release date – and surprise, Michael Offutt’s Slipstream is available now! Go check it out and be watching in May when he kicks off his blog tour here.

My awesome Challenge co-host Jeremy will have a new book out as well soon - Retro-Zombie: Art & Words. Will keep you posted…

And the big news!

It’s been a long time coming… You remember the Movie Dirty Dozen, the Top Ten TV Shows, the Top Ten Countdown, the It’s All Fun and Games, and the Worst Movies Ever blogfests – well now it’s time for a new blogfest.

First Loves Blogfest - on May 14, post your first loves – first movie, first song/band, first book, and first person. Four loves, one blogfest!

Sign up below

Following Talli and Cathy? Watch Psych? Who would you say is friendly? And are you ready for another blogfest? Did I surprise you? Bet you’re thinking of firsts already…

Hi Alex,
Yes, it's me, Gary who and I quote our friend Lee, one of the fine hosts of this alphabet challenge, "You have been appointed as the official anti-A to Z spokesman." Well, my good friend, despite my good natured, sometimes satirical postings on the challenge, I really do wish you and all those involved, the very best with it all. To embrace the ethos, to make new friends, within a sharing, caring blogging community, is a most profound and positive result.
I'm liking your Canadian theme here, eh. Then again, I would say that. What with me being a Canadian living in England and having such fun with the lost in translation, differences.
May you and all of your many friends who have the great pleasure in visiting your superb and interactive site, have a peaceful, positive Easter and much happy writing in the challenge.
With respect and kind wishes, your way, Gary

I will be seeing Dark Shadows...it certainly will be different from the TV show I watched as a kid! I haven't seen the Avengers yet but I think next week will the time.

I linked into to the blogfest...the pull was too strong!

After two days of blogging I finally got through reading everyones first loves. This was so much fun! I was amazed to see a lot of similarities.

Star Wars, The Princess Bride, Indiana Jones, The Last Unicorn, and Dirty Dancing came up often.
