Matthew’s site focuses on query letters, and he’s done so much for other writers in this manner! Blogfests don’t scare him and he ventures into other areas as well. One day soon, Matthew’s book Warrior-Monks is going to rock the book world!
And this Ninja managed to sneak out for a movie...
Jesse Eisenberg voices Blu, a pet parrot suddenly dumped into an adventure in Rio with Jewel, voiced by Anne Hathaway.
This is a cute family film, and the most colorful animated movie I've ever seen. No exaggeration! There's nothing really original and the storyline is predictable. At its core, it's the tried and true romantic comedy. If you enjoy the formula, you'll enjoy this film.
A fun film with some amazing 3D effects, especially when the birds are flying over Rio. Good enjoyment for the whole family. Almost makes me want to visit Rio and join in the festivities of Carnaval.

Kids will like it I guess. I can't watch 3d movies, they give me a headache, plus they're not very 3d. When will this lie be exposed!

The toys at McD's have gone to the birds and now I know why. It's movie tie-in toys time again at the Golden Arches. Sigh. Not sure I'll catch this particular flick, but thanks for pointing it out to me.
Can't wait to see Rio but probably won't until it comes out to Red Box!
Alex, I thought "Rio" was more than just good... Saw it last night, and loved everything about it - the stunning colors, the amazing 3D effects, the fairly predictable, yet adventurous story, all those cute birdies, and last but not least, the clever and funny jokes. It deserves more credit than it gets. In my book, it's right up there with most Pixar films, and your personal favorite HTTYD :)

Awesome bloggers you have listed. We saw Rio and thought it was pretty good. I don't think it can beat Nemo (my fav) but I did love the colors and must admit I laughed out loud a few times. Nothing like an over weight man in a gold leotard-bikini ready for Carnival.
Rio sounds cute but I'll wait for the DVD. Not many flicks will get me to go sit in a theater.

Predictability can definitely be a good thing sometimes. My kids are dying to see that movie.
Maybe I'll take the boys to that movie. I love colorful romantic comedies.

My guys are either into extremely corny movies or major kick ass and take no names, type movies.
When my son was younger I was more up on animated films.

Great blog picks! The QQQE has been one of my favorites for a while now.
I went to watch RIO with mixed expectations, but came away pleased. Not thrilled, but it is hard to thrill me anymore
My significant other has been obsessed with playing the Rio edition of Angry Birds. We probably won't see the movie though...maybe when it's out on DVD.
I will not, will NOT, go see the movie version of Angry Birds (I'm still on level two!)

We saw Rio in 3D last weekend. Plot was indeed predictable, but it did not need to be anything else. because of the color and 3D effects. Very cool movie and one we'll take the kids to again.
Rio looks way better than that Johnny Depp lizard nightmare movie.
