Blogging Day One

This is officially the first post of one Alex J. Cavanaugh!

I've been writing for many years, mostly science fiction, horror, and some fantasy.

My first book comes out from Dancing Lemur Press next fall - "CassaStar!"

I will be updating this blog a couple times a week and hope to be blogging full time by the end of the year. I'm not involved on any other sites yet, but I'm working on it.

I hope to look back at this in a couple years and really see how I developed as an author and writer!

Thought I'd check out your first post to see what it was like at the beginning. Full of optimism. That's the Alex I know.

I am number 2, but even that makes me happy. You've come a long way, Captain. It's been an honour to watch your blog grow. Keep up the excellent job.

Well, since I'm checking this post out I figured I would comment. It's strange, almost like seeing someone before their famous and yet, your awesomeness shines just as bright in this small first post.

Wow, guys - thanks! I have comments on my first post now. Yeah, was that a short post or what? Man of few words...

Aww, how sweet. Did you have any clue when you were writing that how far you'd come? I suppose you did- even in the first post, you were setting goals and looking to the future.

And now, even more comments, Chrys. Such humble beginnings. Seems like all the greats start with those. Cheers, Alex.

Oh, all right - I just had to visit and leave a comment too. :P

That's what I was thinking - he said he only had 1 comment, in his interview. Not so now :P

Happy blogging!! Now it is possible that you have the most comments on an author's first ever blog. :) Congrats and keep up the great work. All the best.

I wanted to see where your journey began. You have totally evolved as a person, writer and mentor to other writers.

I had to look back to see when it all started. You started a few months after I did. Obviously you have accomplished a lot more. Do you have any regrets?
