MST3K and RiffTrax, iPad Pro review, Cassa Animation, Monster Movie Trivia, School of Rock/Monday’s Music Moves Me, and Ninja News

I have a guest post at Write-Edit-Publish - Writing Science Fiction – It’s Not Really That Alien!

MST3K and RiffTrax

Don’t forget that every Monday, RiffTrax releases a new MST3K episode!

And since Thanksgiving used to be MST3K Turkey Day, you can now run your own marathon of bad movies.

The next RiffTrax Live show is December 3 – Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny! Doesn’t that just sound awful?

IPad Pro Review

Sometimes it’s challenging to be an early adopter. The iPad Pro is incomplete without the pen, which won’t ship until next month.

The good news:
The work area is large and the screen gorgeous.
Working with two apps at the same time in split screen is a big plus.
It’s very, very fast.

The bad news:
This is where being an early adopter sucks. I haven’t found an app yet that measures up to what this device is capable of doing. They just aren’t taking advantage of the bigger screen yet.

I really like it, but until I get a pen and more apps become available for the iPad Pro, it’s just a really big iPad.

But yeah, it’s still really cool! And I have been doodling with a regular iPad pen. The creative applications will be incredible once I get the official iPad Pro pen.

Cassa Animation!

One of my very best blogger buddies, Jeremy Hawkins, made this awesome animation for my trilogy. Jeremy, you rock!!!

School of Rock and Monday’s Music Moves Me

School of Rock hosted by Shady Del Knight.
Monday’s Music Moves Me hosted by Xmas Dolly.

I’m going to introduce you to two prog rock bands you’ve probably never heard of. I picked one from each end of the spectrum, just to show you the diversity.

First, we have the band Evergrey, formed in 1995 in Gothenburg, Sweden. This prog song is very melodic. Title – Black Undertow.

Next, we have the band Scar Symmetry, another Swedish band formed in 2004. This one is very heavy. Title – Limits to Infinity.

You’ve now been schooled on Swedish prog rock!

In honor of MST3K, today’s trivia revolves around movies they have riffed. Name the classically bad monster film from the clues!

1 – 1975, eight legged creatures, Alan Hale Jr. in the cast
2 – 1955, sequel to fish man hit, Clint Eastwood’s first role
3 – 1959, starring James Best of Dukes of Hazzard fame, featuring giant rodents that were actually just dogs with carpets draped over their backs
4 – 1957, directed by Bert I. Gordon, and featuring a really big bald guy
5 – 1965, first in a series of many, this Japanese monster gave Godzilla a run for his money
6 – 1957, another Bert I. Gordon classic, starred Peter Graves, featured really large insects

Answers on Wednesday, December 2!

Ready for some MST3K? Anyone else pick up the iPad Pro? What did you think of the Cassa animation? Picking up some new books? Familiar with either prog rock band? And do you know any of the trivia questions?

Be sure to visit Write-Edit-Publish.

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends! I’ll be gone the end of this week and won’t be back to posting until next Wednesday.

  1. I'm a little bit envy with your iPad Pro. I have an old iPad2 at home, which still good, but I'd happier if have better, faster, nicer, newer (not broken screen) iPad. I must find a contest where I can win an iPad Pro. :)

  2. Good luck to all those with new books being released, My IPad I can't use because it is blocked as I can't remember the password of a former Apple ID. ifeel quite frustrated by the fact that I've hardly used it and wanted to start using it. I've heard about the new Ipad but sadly can't afford that.
Great post. and most interesting to read.
    Yvonne.

  3. Your trivia questions are too far back even for me. I used to watch a lot of Godzilla/monster movies when I was a kid thanks to my Dad who will watch anything. I guess I wasn't really paying attention.

  4. We're a Microsoft shop here, so no iPad for us! But I like the idea of a larger work space. The apps will eventually catch up. Hope the stylus comes quicker than you think.

  5. Evergrey fabulous! With great force!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Can I access Riff Trax for free? I definitely want to check out some of their horror movies!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Jeremy did an awesome job on your Cassa promo!!! Love it.

I'm not even thinking about a new device like an IPad Pro, still paying for my Mac Pro....But it sure looks cool.

  8. Happy Monday Alex,

No IPad Pro for me I have a Surface. It must be a bit disappointing to not have the pen. The Cassa animation is cool, Jeremy is very talented.

I went to see Bond last week, that was a bit of a disappointment and I do enjoy Bond movies.

Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving as well...safe travels my friend.

  9. The question is becoming: When doesn't Pat have a book coming out? haha Pat, love ya!!

That animation Jeremy did is fantastic!! Such talent! Wish I had just a tiny bit of it.

I love being one of the first to own technology but one of the drawbacks to that is what you're struggling with - missing apps and tools. Still, it's fun to play around and learn (i.e. struggle) while we wait on the rest of the toys to come in and make it easier. Enjoy and have a great IWSG!!

  10. No pen for a month? How did they do that? Someone's go some 'splainin' to do.

I love the titles of Pat's books. :)

  11. Awesome list of books coming out!
I love the idea of finally having two things running at once on the tablet, but I'll still stick to my old Kindle. . .unless maybe Santa's feeling overly generous this year.
    Have a great Thanksgiving!

  12. Hi, Alex! I love your School of Rock picks. ABBA used to be Sweden's chief music export but, in recent years, Sweden has become a rock and metal mecca. Swedish bands perform everything from Motley Crue inspired 80s-style Sunset Strip sleaze metal to Gothic symphonic death metal and various shades of progressive rock. I thoroughly enjoyed the melodic prog rock tune by Evergrey and the heavier sound of Scar Symmetry complete with cookie monster death growls. Thanks for playing School of Rock, Alex!

  13. Zoltan, you definitely need to upgrade.

Yvonne, call Apple or visit a store and see if they can help you.

    Cindy, cool you watched Godzilla.

Elizabeth, you'd think they would've made more of them!

Jessica, most cost money, but they have some great deals.

Cathrina, he did a great job.

Truedessa, I'd heard the Bond movie wasn't as good as the last. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Elsie, that is the question! I'll just have to wait for the pen.

Holly, no idea why they didn't make more.

T, maybe Santa will bring you one.

  14. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Alex! Enjoy the time off.

  15. Happy Thanksgiving Alex. Hope you have a good one. You are always talking about Rifftrax but where are they on?

Lots of new books out. Love your Cassa animation. Jeremy is good.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Anything titled "Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny" has to be fun to riff.

    Have a great Thanksgiving!

  17. I was charging off top speed to WEP before I realised today is just Monday :) Looking forward to that post!

Liked Evergrey. Liked the Cassa animation even more, so cool!

    Wish you a happy Thanksgiving.

  18. Great book titles being offered, congrats to Pat and to all others. You've all made it as the productive year is coming to a close.

  19. Jeremy did a wonderful job! Could I borrow him for a best blog buddy for awhile? grin.
What concert did you go to?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Haven't tried the iPad Pro but would like to.
The animation is nice and colorful.
Congratulations on all the new books.
    Have a great week.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I was never able to get into Mystery Science Theater

    ReplyDelete
  22. I wish I could afford an iPad Pro. It's on my wish list for someday. Jeremy does great work. Don't know those bands. Have a safe and happy holiday.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That's why I'm never an early adopter, wait until all the bugs are out of things. Awesome animation indeed and thanks for the shout too. Damn, I don't know a single one of those, guess I suck at really bad monster movies. Good for my brain cells though, right? lol

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sounds like you are having fun with your new iPad despite the lack of cool apps available. That Cassa animation is really cool--how nice of Jeremy to do that for you. Congrats to Ella on the cover story. Have a really happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the break!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Shady, thanks for hosting! Sweden now hosts so many prog bands, and Europe in general produces far more than we have here.

Jo, RiffTrax Live is broadcast in theaters or you can go to their site and purchase/download their shows.

    Nilanjana, not until Wednesday!

Sandra, I'd be willing to share Jeremy. And saw TSO.

Pat, can't even make a wild guess???

    ReplyDelete
  26. I've never even used an iPad before. LOL

    That animation is cool!

I read Pat's Profanity Granny Crime Fighting. It was very different. Funny.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Glad you like your IPad Pro. I wanted to get a Surface Pro but couldn't justify the cost vs. a small laptop. Happy Thanksgiving!

    ReplyDelete
  28. How I'd love to spend Turkey Day watching a marathon of MST3K! Very cool Cassa animation. Congrats to all those with new releases. And happy Thanksgiving! :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. I learned long ago, specifically with Apple, to never be an early adopter! They are always trying to work something out. I waited three months to buy the last iPhone and they still were having a problem with downloaded ringtones. But you get the benefit of trying it out and telling everyone else about it, so that part's cool! You just have to have lots of patience. And yes, apps and accessories are always a challenge early on! But it gets bad once your device gets older, too...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Don't have the IPad Pro, but it looks really cool. I hope you update once you get the pen.

Usually I know ONE of the trivia answers, but not today. You stumped me!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Very cool animation. And no iPad here. For whatever reason, I'm awful with touchpad stuff, especially writing/drawing. It just ends up looking like a 3 year old did it. I'm great with a keyboard and mouse, though. Instantly upgrades me to 6 year old quality.

    Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Dogs with carpets on their backs? LOL I'm sure I've never seen it.
Jeremy is such a great guy. :)
Happy holidays to you, Alex! Don't eat too much. The ninja has to stay in fighting form!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Go Kenneth Lynch, go! And Pat keeps going, so he doesn't need to hear it. I'm loving his Profanity Granny series.
    Jeremy's art always impresses.
    Have a great week, Alex.

    ReplyDelete
  34. The love that I have for Mystery Science Theatre knows no bounds.

    Happy Thanksgiving, Alex!

  35. I don't think I'd know what to do with an iPad Pro. I can barely get around my husband's iPad! I LOVE the Cassa animation. What a wonderful thing for him to do for you. MST3K...oh boy does THAT bring back memories! Suddenly I want to bust out into a stirring rendition of "Killer Shrews"... Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the time with your family.

  36. Interesting I know that the Surface Pro 4 is coming out soon. I wonder how it will compare with that Ipad pro.

Awesome songs, I def. prefer Evergrey.

Love the animation for your books he does an awesome job.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think I'd like a iPad Pro, but I know I can't afford it. That, and I've never owned an Apple product.

May you and your family have a wonderful Thanks Giving!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Not familiar with either band showcased here. The first one was pleasant enough for background music. I turned the second one off when Satan or one of his demons started singing--not into that sound.

Swedish music? I think I'll stay with Abba.

  39. excellent animation - that was a special treat. Ray's still happy with his iPad, I don't think Santa will be bringing him a pro this year, but thanks for the review. Saw 2 good movies this weekend - Spotlight - big thumbs up on acting, etc. And final Mockingjay 2 was quite worthy to end the trilogy. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Natalie, once I have the pen and more apps, this will definitely replace the laptop.

Stephanie, I just can't wait when it comes to gadgets.

    Michelle, very close!

Robin, I will keep everyone updated.

River, I'll hit the gym on Friday!

    Liz, you rock!

Jen, you are awesome - you knew one of the answers!

Brandon, I'm sure someone will post a comparison soon.

    Lee, it only sounds evil...

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  41. When possible I try not to buy new stuff until there's been time for the early wrinkles to be ironed out. By then, there's usually something else on the way, so I wait for that.

I don't have much tech stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I have to listen to the music when I am home. I am an ABBA freak just an FYI:) I LOVE what Jeremy did-it is so cool and I think of science fiction and Carl Sagan. Excellent work. Now I am trying to think of the film titles. The first one has to be about spiders but can't think of the name. I know Clint Eastwood was in Tarantula but this has to be part 2 of The Creature From The Black Lagoon. 3. This isn't Attack of the Killer Shrews is it? 4. I remember watching this film and thought he looked like Mr. Clean. Is it Collossus? 5. Is this Gamera? I think I spoke about this one in my Thursday movie picks (I hope it isn't Rodan) 6. Praying mantis?? Peter graves did some sucky movies eh? Oh Happy Thanksgiving for Thursday

    ReplyDelete
  43. I don't use any tablet because I don't need it. I like my notebook with Linux operating system which is sufficient for what I use for it.

Congratulations Jeremy. That is an awesome Cassa promo. Excellent!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. That is so cool, the animation.

I love my iPad and don't want to know what life would be like without it. The new one sounds awesome and way to smart, even for apps. :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Those are seriously old movies. Clint Eastwood's first role; now that would be a movie to see. I saw John Wayne's first roll, almost missed him. I think I remember Mothra vs Godzilla, had the two little pygmy twins in a cage that sang to Mothra. Or was that just in the Mothra movie? Long long time ago.

Weird you did not get the pen with the new iPad. How could they leave that out?

I really like Evergrey. Scar Symmetry is good, but they (or maybe just that song) is pretty typical. They sound too much like Epica but don't add anything new to the style.

Jeremy did great work on that animation thing. Cool.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ipad pro sounds kind of cool. I may have to check it out.

    Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

  47. Delighted that Amy's book is done and out!

  48. Hi Alex - the ipad Pro sounds fun - and obviously will be so much better soon. Jeremy's done you proud for the animation for your trilogy - that's amazing to see ...

I'm afraid I can't do the Swedish bands ... sorry! But congratulations to Ella for being front cover material ... Pat's books look fun ...

Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the time with friends as family is too far - cheers Hilary

  49. Hey, thanks for the plug!
Which sounds like a line from a porno, but it's not.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Congratulations (as always) to all the featured writer.
Happy Thanksgiving - and have a wonderful break.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Its all about frames and layering them one after the other, Jeremy's got the talent. You'll be flying off the shelves with the Cassafire series now. The heavy metal rock bands are the perfect morning wake up call, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Sorry I'm so late Alex, I had to go to the grocers for holiday shopping.

I'm glad you and Shady are doing the School of Rock series. Now that my children are grown, I don't get exposed to new things like I used to.

Have a happay and safe Thanksgiving!

    ReplyDelete
  53. That seems to be the consensus so far from what I've heard about the iPad Pro. It works like a large iPad but has potential when the pen gets in and more apps appear for it. Happy Thanksgiving!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Did you hear that there's talks to revive MST3K? I just saw speculation that Felicia Day might be on board. (But these are still early talks.)

    ReplyDelete
  55. The Cassa animation is cool!
Happy Thanksgiving and have a fun time with family and friends.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Happy Thanksgiving Alex. And thanks for the RiffTrax reminder. Off to check it out now.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I've heard mixed reviews about the pro, moreso than with the other iPads. Surprising since Apple has usually hit things right on the mark when it comes to tech. Maybe there will be improvements.

Man, I don't know any of the trivia. I definitely want to see the answers.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thanks for the heads up on the iPad Pro. The commercials make it look amazing. But now I know I need to wait for the apps and the pen.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm a big fan of Al Penwasser and it's great you're helping to promote his new book.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I prefer the first video.

I try not to get the first of anything. I'll wait to get another iPad. My first iPad was #2, and I believe they fixed certain bugs compared to the first one.

    Have a great holiday week.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Enjoy your holiday weekend!!! I'll be envying you the turkey over the weekend :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. OK I...tried to listen to both but that 2nd song-that dude needs a throat losenge and an exorcism:)

    ReplyDelete
  63. Sounds like it's like buying a console system before there are any games available, not a fault of the system.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Once I RiffTrax here, all thought was lost. Sounds like a perfect way to celebrate my birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I love this music~ Wow, thank you, so much for sharing! I am moving to Sweden-they rock. So, does Jeremy-how fabulous is his design! I want a glowing tea ball ;D

Thanks for your thoughts on the iPad Pro

So, many fabulous new books-I am making my Christmas list and love that you share this great offerings~

Thank you, Captain, for mentioning me-I am blushing and thrilled!

Happy weekend Thanksgiving...nice! I did have the Twelve Days of Thanksgiving one year...nice Sunday dinner, with a pie or side each day-for twelve days. I would need five golden rings to do it again~ It was nuts!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I love my android tablet with stylus. That pen kicks but and I love the 12.2 screen. I didn't want to wait for the iPad (that was gonna be a bit bigger), so last year we got this and I flippin' love, love, love, writing on screen. So much fun.

Hope you get yours soon. Kinda dumb that they didn't send it with it.

    ReplyDelete
  67. That's a great animation for your CASSA series! Nice work Jeremy.

I don't even have any iPad at all. My next purchase is going to be an iMac, because I want that big huge beautiful screen in my life. But I know that's irrelevant since you're talking about things that are actually mobile devices. :)

    ReplyDelete
  68. Alex, we will be honoured to have you speak on science fiction at Write...Edit...Publish tomorrow. I've already had a peek and have been inspired to knuckle down and write my story! Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  69. That animation Jeremy made is really cool! Split screen apps sounds like a great feature on the iPad Pro, I wish my Kindle Fire could do that. And those trivia movies sound terrible, but I have no idea what they are, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  70. A pen? You need a pen to work the iPad thingy?

I'm so not into this new-fangled stuff :)

"Break a keyboard/guitar" this weekend and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, old friend :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. Hi, Alex;
I wandered over here from Shady's blog. Great idea, this "School of Rock". Much Scandinavian rock and metal is excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed Evergrey. Scar Symmetry would have been better without the death growls, for my taste, but the music was okay.
    Happy Thanksgiving to you!

    ReplyDelete
  72. The Casa Animation is cool. Congrats on getting that iPod. It looks fantastic. My husband got a Samsung tablet from work and gave it to me. I love going to bed surfing the net and then reading a book. It is great for looking something up fast online instead of starting my laptop. It's funny, I would never buy a lot of stuff for myself, but my husband does and then I fall in love with it.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Congrats to Kenneth Lynch and the other authors! Hope your iPad pen arrives soon. Have a happy Thanksgiving, Alex!

  74. The animation looks great. It's awesome to have talented, giving friends. Congrats!

Can't believe we're almost at the end of the year already.

    ReplyDelete
  75. You're right - Jeremy Hawkins ROCKS!! Very cool animation. I can't believe another year has passed by so quickly.

Happy Thanksgiving Alex!! Have a lovely week.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Our iPads are so old, we still have only a #1 and #2, pretty sad. So no risk of being early adapters here. Love the Cassa Animation. Don't know the bands or the trivia.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Haha I had MST3K in one of my books. You have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Alex.

    ReplyDelete
  78. i-Pad Pro uses a pen? Sounds like an advanced form of old-fashioned long hand? No. Probably not.
    I love the pen-and-paper feel..

I wonder where this i-Pad thingy will go next? I heard something about pressure sensitivity mechanisms... there's no stopping technology advancing...
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family, Alex!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Congratulations on your Cassa animation. It is very cool. As always, congratulations to everyone with a new release. Have a wonderful week, Alex.

    ReplyDelete
  80. The animation is cool.

Black Undertow - It was okay. I'm not a heavy rock song guy, per se, but I do like a few. This was a good song.
Limits to Infinity - Was also okay for me until the shouting began. Just can't handle that. I deal with enough negativity in life to deal with, I don't need my music adding to the angst.

Checking out the rifftrax sight. I always loved MST3K, but I still don't watch it as much as I'd like to.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I just upgraded to El Capitan on my MacBook Pro and now my Magic Jack telephone doesn't work. And removing EC isn't that easy. I came down here without my disc, so I'm stuck without MJ. They don't tell you that. I contacted the techs and they say they're working on a fix. EC came out in JUNE! What do you suppose my chances are?

Congratulations to all the authors, to you Alex, for purchasing the new IPAD. Hopefully, the apps will catch up.

Off to visit your guest post.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I feel ya on those early adopter woes, but such is the price for getting a cool new toy:)

    ReplyDelete
  83. Patsy - funny!

Birgit, you got four of them! Well done.

Teresa, I don't know what I'd do without mine either.

Donna, the twins were in both movies. And no idea why they didn't make enough pens!

    Al, you're welcome!

    Spacerguy, that would be cool.

Anne, hope you enjoy the series then.

Liz, I did! That would be epic.

JE, so far it's cool. Just need apps and the pen.

Medeia, it was also much faster...

Andrew, so far the Pro itself is awesome.

    Susan, yes it does.

    Ella, you are welcome!

Ivy, I'm making do with the generic pen.

Denise, thank you for inviting me!

Mark, you need the pen to draw and stuff.

Welcome, Debbie! Yeah, we don't get to hear this kind of music here much in the states.

Rhonda, we have a 1, 2, 3, two Airs, and a Pro. One for every room in the house!

    Donna, you rock!

Michelle, can't wait to find out where it goes next.

Jeffrey, you either like that style of vocals or you don't. Not much middle ground.

    Joylene, sorry!

Mark, it was worth the sacrifice.

    ReplyDelete
  84. The iPad Pro sounds fantastic. I want one!!! Love the way your books look decorating the top of your blog. Happy Thanksgiving!

    ReplyDelete
  85. The animation for the trilogy is really neat! I wasn't familiar with the trivia movies so I looked them up. You wouldn't get me anywhere near the first movie, but some of the others looked bad enough to try.
    Have a great Thanksgiving weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  86. ooh love the Cassa promo! I think my bro always runs into glitches when he betas tech products. He works as a web manager for a university so he gets to try things really early and they're always super buggy in the early stages!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Cool rundown on the iPad Pro. I don't think I'll be getting one soon, but it's cool to hear about the tech and how it operates.
    Sweet animation for your trilogy!

And, oddly, I liked the second song best although I'm not usually into that heavy "scream" metal sound.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Jeremy's animation for your Cassa Trilogy is awesome. My Steton's off to him!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Man you're evil, hee heee hee. I can digress really badly once I'm here....

    ReplyDelete
  90. Had no idea there were so many B movies out there! Happy Thanksgiving Alex!

  91. I'm just not into i stuff -- I'm so content with my little Samsung Nook tablet that I can't even imagine wanting to spend the big bucks for the other gadgets. And I still like reading books in the print version whenever I can (although the Kindle app on my Nook has been very cool compared to my original old-fashioned black and white Kindle).

Happy Thanksgiving, Alex, to you and all your followers.

    ReplyDelete
  92. The doodling part of the iPad certainly appeals to me. And that's a pretty cool animation of your books.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Envious of your iPad Pro. You are so tech savvy. Wish it rubs off on me :)

Love Jeremy's animation for your trilogy. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your wife.

  95. Hi Alex,

You can chill now. Yes indeed, I'm finally here!

When it comes to technology, dude, I'm still trying to work out how to use an iPen Amateur.

Jeremy rocks. Pat in the Hatt Rocks, everything here rocks and hey Alex, you rock!

    Enjoy your Thanksgiving, good sir.

  96. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving and I saw that movie with Clint. It's on the tip of my tongue and I can't remember it but it's slimy like green bean casserole.

  97. The animation for Cassa is awesome... Very cute:)

    Enjoy Thanksgiving.

  98. Alex, may I first say Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Thank you for playing along with us at Monday's Music Moves Me. The tunes that you picked totally ROCK! You have totally rocked the house today and I wish you would have signed our linky so everyone else could have seen what you've posted also. I can sign the linky now for you, but I'm afraid everyone is done with putting their two cents on the tunes. Maybe next time my friend. Those tunes are new to me so thanks for the introduction. They're awesome.

  99. Booooooo! On the generic stylus. Hope you get the new one SOON.

Enjoy your holiday weekend. I don't celebrate American Thanksgiving so to answer your question no turkey banner. We go right from Oogie Boogie straight to Ho-Ho, in this house.

But have a yummy holiday weekend to you and your honey bunny.

  100. Alex, here's a great big Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! I'm thankful for your willingness to share your talent and your friendship! God bless.

  101. Happy Thanksgiving! Is it today? I haven't checked in with anyone so far yet.

I did terribly on the trivia. Not a single one! I consider myself educated on Swedish prog rock now though - a subject I knew nothing of. Great tunes.

  102. Just dropping in to wish you and yours a happy day today. I'm thankful that writing has brought me the opportunity to get to know you. Be well.

  103. Dear Alex, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

  104. Not at all an Apple fan, but congrats? Hope you get your pen soon.

    Cool Swedish songs :)

  105. Yay for the cool animation by Jeremy!

Congrats to Amy, Pat, John, Kenneth, and Ella on their new releases!

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, Alex! :)

  106. Make sure you let us know how the ipad pro is with more apps and the pen. I'm very interested.

  107. That was such a cool animation. I had to share it. I'm very interested to see the answers to this trivia next week. Happy Thanksgiving- Belated.

  108. I hope playing Early Adopter pays out for you! Are there any apps that are appealing in the Bigger iPad dynamic?

    ReplyDelete
  109. iPad Pro sounds like a winner! I shall wait for a while though-- I'm a late adopter. :)

    ReplyDelete
  110. Hi Alex!! I can see how the Pro would be amazing for creative applications. I'm actually considering downsizing from my Air to a Mini, though, because I like portability...so the Pro is out for me. I'm super curious to find out how you like it with the official pen!

  111. I'm not an early adopter for tech. More like a wait-and-see kind of adopter. :)

    I love the animation!

  112. Lori, thanks , and only watch them with MST3K help.

Beth, that is why I never downloaded Windows 8 - we got to beta test it at my office.

Tyrean, you just know quality music!

Loni, wait until you see what I have doodled!

Marie, sorry! I just knew I didn't fit the theme though.

    Nick, now you know!

    Ilima, I will!

    Thanks, Toi!

John, not really. I think developers are scrambling to provide apps that will look good and compliment what the iPad Pro can do.

    Thanks, everyone!

  113. I don't know any answers to that trivia! Boo for me!

    Enjoy your new iPad!

  114. ALEX!!!

Yeah, I know. I'm so stupidly late to your awesome post. I'm sorry.
    :(

We have WAY too many electronics in this house, so I won't be getting an iPad Pro anytime soon. I hope they make it more interesting for you soon. :)

Jeremy did a great job on your animation! He rocked it!

I really liked the Evergrey song. The second song started out good, but I'm not fond of that style of singing. I can't understand it and lyrics are important to me.

I'm pretty sure I saw some of the movies you listed, but w/o research, I'm not guessing the titles. :)

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving w/ your Mrs.

  115. Alex, I'm way behind on the new technology. I just got my first smart phone about three weeks ago. . .Lol.

  116. I imagine my father will want to try the iPad Pro, since he's always been among the first to try out or buy new Apple products since OS 1.0. I don't have any iPad yet, though someday I might get my own instead of playing on someone else's for a little while.

  117. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, Captain! Hopefully that iPad pen comes in soon. :)

    ReplyDelete
  118. Happy belated Thanksgiving Alex. Wow that animation was sweet. Can't lie.

  119. Yay for you!!! I had a tablet once, never got on it so I returned it. Haha

  120. Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving, Alex. Thanks for all you do for the blogger community!

  121. wow, cool animation! and now I want an iPad ... :P

    ReplyDelete
  122. Thanks for the info on the iPad. Heading over to your guest post!

  123. Totally turning green about your iPad Pro... I can imagine you're dying to get that pen—I certainly would be. I've been an Apple addict for years, but I don't think I've ever been among the very first to use a product. Kudos to you for that! (Yes, even with the inconveniences... They're worth it, yes? ;) )

Thanks so much for the visit over at Damyanti's blog for my guest post. Loved seeing you there :)

  125. The animation for your trilogy is awesome--may it sell more of your exciting books!

Of course I don't know the answers to any of the trivia questions, and I don't have an iPad. Why? Because I just always seem to be one step behind everyone and everything. Which is yet another reason why I enjoy stopping by your blog--entertainment, useful information, and friendly advice. Thanks.

  126. The iPad pro looks amazing. Love the animations. :-)

  127. I love the ad for your trilogy! He did a great job on it. The ipad pro sounds great too, for my daughter! (I'm still sadly overwhelmed with new tech gadgets)

  128. OMG, I recognize so few blogs from before. So many from before have moved on. Gulp . . . guess I've gotta get busy! Thanks for the iPat Pro info -- thought about it but your info confirms what I've read elsewhere so will wait.
