Movie Review

Skyfall
Another solid entry in the Bond franchise.
Daniel Craig proves once again that he has mastered the role of James Bond with style and substance. (And I’d really like to work with his personal trainer.) Judi Dench is perfect, as always, and Javier Bardem plays one of the oddest villains we’ve seen in a while.
The action scenes are great and Bond travels to some really great locations. (I think I need his travel agent as well.) Perhaps just a little too long, but otherwise another sleek and stylish Bond film.
If you dig Bond movies, you will enjoy!

  1. My favorite Bond will always be Sean Connery but D. Craig does have style as well. Loved the car but missed the gadgets in this movie. Have a great week Alex, off to check out your links.

  2. Thanks for the shoutout! There have been some great releases recently!

  3. Skyfall too long!?!? Jamais!! I say MORE of NAKED Mr Craig please. Ahem.

    :-)

    Take care

  4. I grew up on the Roger Moore James Bond. It wasn't until later that he didn't hold a candle to Sean Connery!

    ReplyDelete
  5. I saw the last Bond movie, Quantum of Solace last night and was actually disappointed.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Glad you enjoyed Skyfall as well. I thought it was excellent and the second-best in the series, after Casino Royale.
It was so entertaining, I didn't mind the long running time.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Thanks for the new books to check out. All seem exactly the kind I love.

Haven't seen Skyfall yet but by golly, that Daniel Craig makes a darn cool Bond. Who woulda thunk it? I sure didn't.

  8. Siv, Connery will always be the best Bond, but both Craig and Brosnan have done a good job in the role.

    Kyra, you're welcome!

    Kitty, you didn't get enough?

Sean, he was the first Bond I saw as well.

George, Craig really brings a lot to the role, which adds to the film.

Huntress, I wasn't sure at first either

  9. I'll go for a Bond movie any day. I heard some say this is the best one.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Oh, so much news this week! Thanks for featuring me Alex, and can't wait for the blogfest. I drafted my post and can't wait for it to go live :D

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm not a huge Bond fan, but the buzz around Skyfall is pretty heavy, I'm going to have to check it out.

I saw Warrior and The Campaign this week and thought both were excellent (although very different from each other!)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Thanks for sharing about the new Bond movie. I'm not enough of a fan to go see it. But The Hobbit-I think I'm going alone to see that one next week.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Wow, I actually knew two of the trivia. Probably will wait for Skyfall to be ondemand. I like Bond okay but not enough to go out to the theater.
    M. Pax looks like she has another winner.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Congrats to everyone on all their new releases! Wow the Ninja Army sure is talented!

I have to say I'm partial to Connery and Brosnan, but with all the hype I would like to see Skyfall.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Congrats to the authors of the new releases!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Glad you liked the new James Bond movie! I really want to see it! Although, I'd much rather have Pierce Brosnan playing Bond. He was the best :P

    ReplyDelete
  17. I love the Bond movies and didn't even realize that there's another one out. How did I miss that? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Didn't get to see the Bond movie last weekend, so I'm hoping to get out next weekend to see it. Thanks for the review and all the news!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Congrats to all the new releases and go Knights of the jousting tournament!

Sean Connery will always be my favorite Bond. :)

  20. My wife and I saw Skyfall yesterday. I was really looking forward to it because of all the nice reviews I had seen online...but we were both disappointed with it. It seemed to predictable and cliched to us, and I suppose the locations didn't wow us as much because we've been to all of them before (other than the bleak Scotland landscape, but we've seen similar in Iceland). I wish they would actually come up with some surprising plotlines.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Will probably wait for Skyfall to hit On Demand or DVD.

Saw The Amazing Spiderman this weekend. Eh.

Re-watched Stephen King's The Mist (2007) and noticed three Walking Dead cast members in it! Then saw it was done by Frank Darabont. That explained it - too funny.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Seeing Mary's books everywhere today. Yay for that!

And I heard the Bond film was the best one yet. I wanna see it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Can't wait to see Daniel Craig in Skyfall- I've heard nothing but great things about this Bond movie.

Big congrats to Kyra and Victoria!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I've never even heard of Flushed Away. I'm always up for a good Bond flick....still want to see Argo in the theater first. Have a good week Alex!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Cindy, it's really good!

Victoria, you're welcome! And thanks for participating this Friday.

Rick, haven't seen The Campaign yet.

Natalie, you get to see The Hobbit next week? How?

Kathy, all three of them have made good Bonds.

Jess, he was good as well.

    Laura, he was the best.

Ted, that's why it wasn't my favorite. And the only location I have seen is the bleak Scotland landscape.

    ReplyDelete
  26. We'll see Skyfall this week. Looking forward to that. I'm off to the jousting tounrament for some grog and grub.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Sean Connery for sure-- he can still make me swoon (Shwoon?) I gave you a shout-out in my post today.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Definitely will be checking out your book features! Great posting. Hubby wants to see Skyfall, am glad to hear it wasn't a box office flop.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yay for great ninja news! Congrats to Cherie!
Unfortunately, I'll have to wait to see Skyfall on bluray ... can't wait though - have heard great things about it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Glad to hear you liked Skyfall. I'll probably be seeing it this weekend (which shall also contain my first renaissance fair experience, so I might get to see a joust in person).

I must say, I've really been looking forward to Skyfall, as I'm a big fan of the direction the Daniel Craig bond films have taken, with Casino Royale ranking up there as one of my favorites, BUT all of the pre-release press for this movie has been killing me. Everywhere you look, a Skyfall commercial.

Still excited to see it, though!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'll be looking forward to this James Bond movie, mostly because of Daniel Craig. I actually prefer the older bond movies because they had more of a plot and less special effects. Guess I'm old fashioned that way!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I've heard so many great things about Skyfall, so yes, i'll probably be going to see that one with the hubs sometimes this week. Lots of cool upcoming books here!

    ReplyDelete
  33. M. Pax is coming out with a new one? Yippie!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Congrats to Kyra, Victoria, Cherie, and M Pax! I'll be jousting today, so watch out for Knight Light, and I so want to see Skyfall . . .but it's going to be next weekend or the one after that . . .
I did terrible on the trivia . . .but I already knew that.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Skyfall has been getting some great reviews and one heck of a box office. But I'm sure the next Twilight film will do far better. Here in L.A. people have been camping out to wait for the debut--and it's been cold at night! Those fans are nuts as far as I'm concerned.

  41. Congrats to Victoria, Kyra, M. Pax and Cherie! I love hearing about their good news. Wishing them all the best!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Kimberly, go see Argo first.

    Thanks, Julie!!

Cindy, it was the biggest opening weekend ever for a Bond film.

JW, you will see it soon! Less gadgets this time though.

Tyrean, too many of you are knights...

    Lee, they are nuts!!

    Cherie, you're welcome.

    Jen, I will do that.

    Charles, I did as well!

Sheri, there can never be too much Bond.

  53. Hetty is very busy today. This is the third blog she's visited :-) I've added it to my TBR list and Kindle samples. It sounds like a great read.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Judi Dench is a great actress - I remember watching her in sit-coms years and years ago. Love the fact she's fast becoming a national treasure in the UK!

Congratulations to everyone with new books out :-)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Congrats to both Cherie and Mary! I've been hearing great things about Skyfall. Even my toughest of movie critic friends really like it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Looking forward to seeing Bardem in Skyfall! Congrats to Mary and Cherie! Julie

  57. I love animated films but never heard of Flushed Away. I guess I'm not drawn to rats or singing slugs.

Congratulations to all the creative authors!

  58. I loved Skyfall. I thought it was perfect, with the plot being deeper than many others, and giving us the chance to see the inner workings of Bond besides shooting and sexing. Had to close my eyes with the teeth though.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Oooh 007, you said the magic words "personal trainer" I am so there! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  60. Great for Kyra and Heather. Didn't know Johnny Depp did the voice for Rango!

    So much I don't know!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Nice to know Skyfall stands up to expectations!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Only answered 6 & 7 last week and got them both right. Yay! Cool list of new books and Skyfall... *squeals* I so need to see it.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Thanks for always being such a good source of info. I'd never know about half the books out there. Lotsa good ones. I'm getting ready for Friday's blogfest.

  64. Hi Alex .. great set of links - and there are some lovely new books released ..and Skyfall is approved - I hope to get to see it this week, if not next ..

    Cheers Hilary

  65. A good friend of mine went to see Skyfall this weekend and she loved it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. So much wonderful news once again this week. I read Cherie's Nightmare Collection and it was awesome, a tense and chilling read. Mary's jousting tourney looks like it will be a big hit!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Looking forward to Skyfall.

I don't think anyone's ever beaten Sean Connery as Bond, but I think Judi Dench was inspired casting as M in recent years. The character never had any real presence until she took on the role.

    ReplyDelete
  68. My guess for the first Disney animated feature was Fantasia. When I saw the right answer, I realized it had to be Snow White, since that came out a few years earlier.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I loved the new Bond film. Did you think that the Bond girl got killed off way too soon (the one with the shot glass on her head)? I did. I wasn't expecting that. Met up in a casino, had some great sex in the shower, and then she was just killed off. Kinda sad and just an odd choice to make.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Cherie Reich is certainly prolific!

I'll have to see that new Bond movie. It sounds good!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Melissa, I'm sorry about your Bears!

    PTM, just missed that one...

Tara, I'll give you a heads up next time!

Morgan, you just swoon all you want.

    Thanks, Holly!

    Moody, very true!

    Robyn, you would enjoy it!!

    Tasha, that was rather disgusting.

    Hildie, the dude is cut!

Nancy, glad you're on board for it.

    Botanist, agreed on both accounts!

Michael, yes! And Bond just stood there. So much for helping her.

    ReplyDelete
  72. i am intrigued about the horror collection... sounds awesome.
thanks for the solid on Skyfall, wife doesn't want to see it...

all good on the trivia... i feel good knowing the know.

what is your favorite... disney animated feature... i think mine is the little mermaid...

    ReplyDelete
  73. I heard tell that Daniel Craig is sick of being Bond, but that he's signed up for two more films already. Such a hard life.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I've ben waiting for this post. I want to watch SKYFALL so badly!! Grrr.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Jousting- what a fun idea! Congrats to all with new releases.
Haven't seen Skyfall yet, but it's inevitable :)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Thanks for the post! :D You rock.

I look forward to seeing Skyfall. Bond almost always makes an exciting film.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Sorry about missing Friday and the blog birthday....belated congratulations!

    ReplyDelete
  78. I guess I know my animated flicks. The only trivia question I didn't know right away was the Jessica Rabbit one.

And Bardem is in the new one? I've never been too big on Bond, but now I have to see if Bardem can outdo his turn as Anton Chigurh.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I saw Skyfall and loved it! I'll be putting up a review on Wednesday. And I'll definitely check out the tournament thing on Pax's site. Sounds like my kind of thing! :D Thanks Alex!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Jeremy, probably Aladdin. If we can count Pixar, then The Incredibles.

Joshua, yeah, I feel for him!

SC, hope you see it soon!

    Mary, you're welcome.

Thanks, Lurker, and that's all right!

Nate, I'd have to say no he doesn't...

    Liesel, glad you enjoyed it.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Thanks for the new books and the review, Alex. I have to wait for the DVD before I'll get to watch Skyfall; we're too far from the theatre. I'm not sure yet whether I like the title. SkyfallDown? Haha, okay maybe not. Bardem was so creepy in "No Country for Old Men"; gave me the chills. And then he went and wooed me in "Eat Pray Love."

    ReplyDelete
  82. I can't wait to see Skyfall. Craig is my favorite Bond.

It's great seeing Mary everywhere today.

    Thanks for the book news.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Skyfall - I can't wait!

Really cool releases by Cherie & MPax too. Thx!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Cherie's Nightmare collection looks good! I'm getting more into horror and horror blends. Well, I suck at trivia, but I would've gotten one right: the Snow White film answer.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I saw Skyfall this weekend. Daniel Craig and Judi Dench were amazing, but overall I found the story a bit slow and plodding. But I am hearing that die-hard fans of the Sean Connery version are really loving Skyfall, so I'm probably among the minority!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Cheers for Victoria, Kyra, Cherie and M. Pax! Always exciting to see folks succeed! Glad I didn't post my answers to the trivia. (Missed every last one.)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Hubby gets to come home for one week of leave. Skyfall is on our list. Glad to hear the great review. We don't have time to waste on flops, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Congratulations to Cheri and M -- I'll keep their new books in mind, especially since they sound so imaginative. And of course the same to Kyra and Victoria.

I'm really looking forward to Skyfall. Trouble is, no matter how much I work out, when I see movies with buffed actors like Daniel Craig, I feel like a slug.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I knew Snow White was the first, didn't know Tangled was the fiftieth. That's interesting. They've made a lot of great ones. :)

    ReplyDelete
  90. Cherie's stories sound too scary for me, unfortunately! I'll get nightmares if I read them! But I do love an odd villain so I can't wait to check out the latest Bond flick.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Yay to Mary, Cherie, Kyra and Victoria!!! Yay again to your 3 years of blogging. Wow that's a long time.

Talking of movies, have you seen Cabin in the Woods yet? I can't remember if you mentioned it or not.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I heard great reports about Skyfall so far. And I borrowed a tape (yes, tape) from a friend of Who Framed Roger Rabbit to watch this week. What a movie! I'd love to see it in the theatre again.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Ah, there's Cherie's cover for her Nightmare Collection! Very nice. ;)

I'm wondering if I should see Skyfall. I'm not big into Bond movies, but it seems people are raving about it.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I went to see Skyfall last weekend and it was a good film. It could've been better though but I adored the action\chasing\killing sequences. And most of all, it kept ya on the edge of your seat.

What I really can't wait to see this coming weekend is...Lincoln. That one looks Oscar worthy and one of the best films of the year!

I'm looking forward to the blogfest on Friday! It will be fun!

And I see, Tasha is co-hosting IWSG with me in December! Can't wait for that too!

Fun, fun stuff going around the writing community! Always is, because you make everything incredible here! :)

    ReplyDelete
  95. Hubby & I actually did see Skyfall this weekend (we hardly ever see movies - especially not new releases!). I really enjoyed it. Three really great action scenes & a very odd villain indeed! Fun!

    ReplyDelete
  96. The boys of this house went to see Bond yesterday and enjoyed it very much. Congrats to all these amazing authors!

    ReplyDelete
  97. I liked Javier in this movie. A lot. Getting the husband to dig up his other movies.

I thought this movie was a bit unusualto the franchise, perhaps because of Mendes -- it had a rough and ready feel, no flashy gadgets, and only very brief sex/ sensuous scenes.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Joylene, when you see the movie, you will understand the title. It really fits with the storyline.

    Catherine, one is good!

Camille, it was a little long, which probably resulted in the slow pace.

    Jeff, I'm sorry!

    Isis, I bet you don't!

    Helena, I can relate!!!!

    Cally, he is odd...

Lynda, I saw it in the theater and again on DVD - thought it was awesome. And very funny!

    Lisa, I remember VHS tapes...

Cathy, it won't change your opinion, but it is a good film.

Livia, they say Lewis is a shoe-in for best actor. And yes, Tasha is on board! Appreciate you guys so much.

Jemi, odd is the best way to describe him.

Damy, there were hardly any gadgets. Check out No Country For Old Men if you're looking for Bardem films.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I'm so excited to see Skyfall! Daniel Craig needs to grow on me as Bond...I'm still partial to Connery. Maybe this'll be the movie where he does it for me. He does do the action scenes pretty well!

    ReplyDelete
  100. So much exciting news! I was just jousting over at M. Pax's site!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Or rather, cheering for my favorite jouster! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  102. well, I didn't too bad on the trivia, and I was close on the first one; Spirited Away won the next year, I think. Hoping to see Skyfall soon and I agree that Daniel Craig is an awesome Bond although I understand that some folks don't care for him.

Saw Argo this past weekend and liked it!

    ReplyDelete
  103. Totally want to see Skyfall.

    Seeing M Pax's book everywhere today--looks fab!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hey Alex,

Joust a minute. Oh yes, a jousting tournament. And no, I'm not going to do my 'joke' about knights. Okay, if you insist, Sir Galahad and Sir Lancelot walked into 'Yee Olde Inn'. "My good innkeeper. We require a room for two knights.", said Sir Lancelot. "That is fine. You can pay for your lodgings upon your departure." replied the innkeeper. The next morning, Sir Galahad and Sir Lancelot, approached the innkeeper. "My good man" said Sir Galahad, "we wish to pay for our lodgings." Looking rather perplexed, the innkeeper responded, "Oh, I thought you wanted a room for two nights?"

Yes and why not a bit of 'free lance' writing...Sorry, I'm sure you will have no time to read this comment. All the best and thanks for so many links :)

    ReplyDelete
  106. I am gonna have to see Skyfall. I have not seen a Bond movie in many years but this looks good and the reviews have been good.

Hey I got two for two right on the trivia...that's 100%, right??

    ReplyDelete
  107. Thanks for the welcome back, Alex! It really meant a lot to me. I hope to get back to my blog roll schedule soon. I saw Skyfall and just loved it! Want to see it again.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Congratulations on all the new releases

    ReplyDelete
  109. Skyfall got great reviews from the youngsters in my family. Hey, and I just signed up for the blog fest. One day I can do!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Nicole, he really took charge of the role in this one. Think you'll enjoy it.

    Lisa, that's safer!

Marcy, knew you'd like Argo! And it was a couple years of that award before Disney won.

Gary, bad pun! But enjoyed the snark. Don't ever lose it.

Chuck, that's 100% in my book!

Clarissa, we have really missed you.

Dani, glad to have you on board!!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Last Friday was a nightmare. Sorry I missed your 3 year anniversary. Too bad they don't have an intermission for some of these longer movies for a bathroom break!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Alex-

Liked "Skyfall" as well, althought it might have been better not to reveal Bond's past at all...it was a little cliche'd and the Bond character really does not command a back story.

I did a post last week on Bond theme songs that went unnoticed.

I did not leave a comment Friday (I often do not when you're over 100 of them and I don't have anything different to say than the other commenters, but I do read pretty regularly), but since I am today-congrats on three years of blogging (and on your forthcoming volume)!

  115. I'm glad to know you liked Skyfall. I've gotten mixed reviews from my friends, but since I generally agree with you on big movies, I'm pretty sure I'll like this one!

  116. I've not really seen any of the Bond movies (I played Goldeneye on the N64 is that counts) so I think Skyfall will pass me by.

  117. Jousting, renaissance... sigh. Makes me miss war. ;P

  118. Congrats to Maryn and Cherie on their launch. Two exciting looking stories.

  119. Yes I'm quite sure Mr. Craig is delicious in this new film. Le sigh.

So many bloggie friends books are out. So great!!!

    ReplyDelete
  120. I didn't know Cherie had a collection coming out. One to add to the wishlist.

I must see Skyfall. No one can beat Connery but Daniel Craig makes a great Bond!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Congrats to Cherie and Mary! The jousting tournament is a lot of fun!

Skyfall sounds like it is a good movie!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Roland, that's all right!

Thanks, Larry! Skyfall wasn't my favorite Bond film, but I did enjoy it.

    Ink, that's still two right.

    Jay, you will enjoy it.

    Karen, no pressure on me!

    Jamie, that made me chuckle.

    Ellie, he does.

  123. How excellent is Skyfall as a Bond franchise name?? I want to see it for that reason alone. I'm glad it's a good movie. Am probably going to see it next weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I've only heard terrific things about Skyfall! I can't believe they keep reinventing this movie. Kind of like the recent spiderman. But I guess it works b/c I want to see both movies!

    ReplyDelete
  125. I'm generally useless wrt movie trivia BUT I got one right...

My fave Bond guy is still Roger Moore... and I've been wondering why Pierce Brosnan wasn't considered as a Bond guy...? Or did he act in one of the Bond movies? I think he would've made a great James Bond.

  126. Cherie's book looks great, as does MPax's. Heading over to both blogs now.

    ReplyDelete
  127. We enjoyed "Skyfall" as well. I thought the Shanghai sniper sequence was especially impressive.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I never liked James Bond movies until Daniel Craig. Skyfall is on my list of movies to see. And I missed your 3-year anniversary - congrats!

    ReplyDelete
  129. I loved Skyfall! Some of the nods to the older Bond films (in celebration of the anniversary, I assume) were also great - and I really, really loved Q.

  130. Congrats to all with new releases! :D

  131. I thought Gru was well done, as was Vector. Good stuff. I laughed more at the movie the second time that I saw it at home, than when I watched it at the movies.

    Cheers and boogie boogie.

  132. Lan, you will enjoy it!

Laura, the latest Spiderman was really good.

Michelle, he was Bond for several of the films before Craig took over.

Squid, it was a cool scene.

    Thanks, Susan!

    Sangu, like the old car?

Whisk, did you know the sequel comes out next summer?

  133. I've seen both these books aruond the blogosphere today, and they both sound awesome!

And I can't wait to see Skyfall.

  135. Definitely plan to see SKYFALL at the theatre. That seems very theatre and buttered popcorn-worthy.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Shrek was funny and all, but how are we going to look back and say that Shrek deserved that award over Spirited Away.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I went to see Skyfall over the weekend. Really liked it. There were places I thought it was a little slow, but the ending was a doozy.

  138. Congrats to Victoria, Kyra,Cherie and Mary - Huzzah!

  140. I watched the earlier Bonds back in the day with my parents, but haven't watched any of the more recent ones. But people have been raving about Skyfall on facebook, so I think I need to give it a whirl.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Haven't been to see Skyfall since the time I rented (the last?) Bond movie without realizing it was a sequel to the movie before it.

Was so confused, I turned off the film halfway.

    ReplyDelete
  142. An odd villain in Skyfall? I like the sound of that.

    Allison (Geek Banter)

  143. Congrats to those with new releases. I'm excited for them all!

Gah, I'm gutted I missed that trivia. I actually would have done quite well for a change. What does that say about me??

    ReplyDelete
  144. Laura, thank you!

    Liz, it's perfect for that.

Budd, or that it also beat Monsters Inc?

Helen, that was quite an explosion at the end!

    Jocelyn, give it a shot.

    Allison, odd and creepy.

Nick, it says you appreciate the fine art of animation!

  145. I still wish that I could travel with the renaissance fair and work one of the booths, or manage the jousting horses- perhaps run the pup- HUZZAH! LOL- thanks for sharing, fun post, as always : ) ~ Jess

  146. The Hetty Lockear book sounds great, I'm going to have to look into it. I love Red Faires.

I would like Bond's travel agent as well. Maybe one has to become a spy to get an agent like that.

  147. Hey, Alex. I took my teenaged sons on Sunday and saw Bond. The one thing about Bond that I have to have is the tradition of it all, and I got that. On the other hand I found it very different at the same time. I loved the depth of the plot and the characters. Very worthy of the canon, I thought.

  148. Eek! I almost missed the jousting tournament! What a neat idea.

    ReplyDelete
  149. The Nightmare Collection by Cherie sounds good.

I too enjoy the Bond movies, so I am sure I will enjoy Skyfall.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Went to see Skyfall over the weekend. Loved it. I was surprised to see so many people bringing in young kids to see it, though. Way younger than I would have expected!

    ReplyDelete
  151. Jess, I bet you'd have fun!

Jack, I guess Ninjas don't count...

James, it didn't have the gadgets, which was different.

Helen, not really for young kids...

  152. Daniel Craig is the ONLY Bond in my mind. I loved this movie. But I think the best part of it was Javier. Holy smokes, he stole that scene with Bond tied in the chair.
