Last Movies of the Year!

Yes, it’s time for December movies. Less than a month to Christmas! Nobody panic.

Before I dive into the movies, a couple quick announcements and reminders:

S.A. Larson’s picture book story is in a publisher’s competition and it would be really cool if you could go vote for her! Visit her SITE for details. Kelly Polark’s piece is also in the competition! Too many awesome writers...

Never thought about posting a link for CassaFire, but for those who’d like to add it to your Goodreads TBR shelf, go HERE.

My blog is a finalist in Karen's Blog Awards! You can vote now at A Peek At Karen’s World I'm under Favorite Writing Blog. (Ironic, huh?)

And the next installment of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group is in one week! You guys have amazed me with your posts and the support you’ve shown to one another. Hopefully it keeps growing so that more writers can benefit.

Now for the December movie releases. As always, descriptions courtesy of the IMDB. Snarky comments by me.

9 -

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
In the bleak days of the Cold War, espionage veteran George Smiley is forced from semi-retirement to uncover a Soviet agent within MI6's echelons.
Director: Tomas Alfredson
Stars: Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy
Oldman is such a cool actor…

16 -

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty.
Director: Guy Ritchie
Stars: Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Jared Harris
Downey is perfect as Holmes – can’t wait for this one!

23 -

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol
The IMF is shut down when it's implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear their organization's name.
Director: Brad Bird
Stars: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton
It looks cool and I’ve enjoyed all of the M:I movies so far.

The Adventures of Tintin
Tintin and Captain Haddock set off on a treasure hunt for a sunken ship commanded by Haddock's ancestor. But someone else is in search of the ship.
Director: Steven Spielberg
Stars: Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Daniel Craig
The animation looks stunning! One of two Spielberg movies this December.

(Daniel Craig is also in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - busy man!)

25 -

The Darkest Hour
In Moscow, five young people lead the charge against an alien race who have attacked Earth via our power supply.
Director: Chris Gorak
Stars: Emile Hirsch, Olivia Thirlby, Max Minghella
This has the quirk factor going for it.

War Horse
Follows a young man named Albert and his horse, Joey, and how their bond is broken when Joey is sold to the cavalry and sent to the trenches of World War One. Despite being too young to enlist, Albert heads to France to save his friend.
Director: Steven Spielberg
Stars: Jeremy Irvine, Emily Watson, David Thewlis
Somehow, I have a feeling my wife will drag me to see this one. We saw the last stupid horse movie…

Which movie catches your eye? Still playing catch-up from November? Or is there a special Christmas movie you plan to watch this month? One can never see A Christmas Story too many times…

  1. None of these speak to me. What's a wimpy movie viewer to see? The Muppets, no doubt.
    Be well, Alex.

  2. I'm with Rawknroubyn. None of these are to me.
Perhaps I'll end up watching Sherlock Holmes and M:I4, just to check if it's better or worse than the previous ones ;)

    ReplyDelete
  3. Congratulations on the new nomination. My vote and I sent, I think you'll get a great result.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Robyn and Juliana, can't go wrong with Muppets.

    Thanks, Leovi!

    ReplyDelete
  5. The M.I. movie looks good and they usually deliver.

(I'm sure the only reason you don't want to see the horse movie is in case you cry. Well, that's my excuse.)

    ReplyDelete
  6. I voted for Sheri and your blog and I already had CassaFire on my TBR Goodreads list. Lots of interesting movies. I'm looking forward to SH.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I definitely want to see the Sherlock Holmes one. I'll probably wait until the DVD comes out.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Just saw Hugo = really was brilliant. Sherlock is on my list. War Horse? Well, even the trailer made me choke up a little - so I guess I'll wait for the DVD next year so I can sob in the privacy of my own home.

  9. I watch all my favorite Christmas movies this time of year.

None of the movies yet are giving me the "come hither" feel.

Oh and thanks for reminding me Christmas is near and I'm not ready. Thanks. Not.

  10. I'm really looking forward to the Mission Impossible movie. That sounds fantastic. Sherlock Holmes doesn't sound too bad, either. :)

Woot!!!! Love the movies! I'm actually heading out this weekend to see Breaking Dawn. Finally. Hopefully things will be a bit calmer now that some time has passed. LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm looking forward to Sherlock Holmes and IMF, but I'm on the fence about War Horse. :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'll be seeing Sherlock Holmes for sure, probably TinTin, maybe Mission Impossible.

War Horse, I hope not. But if the missus wills it, we will go.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sherlock Holmes absolutely! I will also try and see MI Ghost Ptotocol. I've loved all the other MI films.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I still have to see the first Sherlock Holmes movie. I'm lame, I know. I do want to take the kiddos to see TinTin and the Muppets.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'll drag husband to War Horse. He'll drag me to Mission Impossible. We'll probably both want to see Sherlock.
    Not such a bad deal.

I really want to see Hugo. That looks interesting.

Hope they aren't all playing at once in our little theater. YIKES

    ReplyDelete
  16. Michael, there's no crying in stupid horse movies.

    Ciara, thank you!

    Lisa, that's a good idea.

    Journalist, sorry.

Rusty, somehow I think we're both screwed on that one.

    Christine, you are not lame!

Faraway, that's a fair trade off.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Just added your book!

Wait, War Horse is a movie? It's been in the theatre here in the West End for a while, and it's a fabulous production. I loved the story.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Insecure writers group is awesome. Added your book to goodreads!

    ReplyDelete
  19. All of those films caught my eye. There's not been much lately to draw me to the theaters and fork down the money. December could be entertaining.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I really didn't like the last Sherlock Holmes movie. And enough of MI. So I guess it's all DVDs for me in December.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Wow, I had only heard of a couple of those movies. Holmes I've been waiting on, but the others look grand too! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hi Alex .. I've seen Tinker Tailor and very good acting it is .. the others I'm not sure about ..

I'm going to See "We Need to talk about Kevin" with Tilda Swinton - brilliant performance by her I gather. And another film society one next week ..

Everyone will enjoy their choices though .. cheers Hilary

    ReplyDelete
  23. Love Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes. I'll go to the theater to see that one. The rest don't really appeal to me, except War Horse, and I'll wait to see that one on DVD. I don't like crying in theaters.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm looking forward to Warhorse the most among these

    ReplyDelete
  25. Awwwww yay for December films and Daniel Craig. One can never get enought of Daniel Craig. :-)

Off I go to vote! Hoorah!

    Take care
    x

    ReplyDelete
  26. I want to see every single one of those movies. And December is SO busy. Ack!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm giggling about your horse comment. Some of these look pretty good, though if I get a vote, probably my theater movie this month will be Hugo. Though Robert Downey Jr. Is always tempting--I really love his range... erm... among other things.

    ReplyDelete
  28. So many great movies coming out next month! I think I might have to check out The Darkest Hour, the 3D trailer looked amazing. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. The movies aren't speaking to me but I have netflix to lean on. :)
    I voted for you!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Say what you want about the previous installments, but Ghost Protocol is on my list. As is TinTin.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Reasons to see a few of these flicks: Gary Oldman, Jude Law, Jeremy Renner!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hi Alex,
I'm sorry but I have to agree with Robyn, I also think that none of these movies speak to me. I'll probably take my nieces to see Arthur Christmas.....lol.x

    ReplyDelete
  33. I definitely want to see Sherlock Holmes (loved the first one) and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (but only because Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner are in it).

TinTin looks like it'll be interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Talli and Jessica, thanks!

Man O Clay, I'll keep you updated on films!

Kitty, thanks, and I knew you'd be excited about double Daniel Craig this month.

Hart, are you hoping for another naked Downey shot?

    Laura, thank you!

    Joshua, it's definitely on mine.

    Eve, that works for me.

    ReplyDelete
  35. That "Don't Panic" thing came a little too late in the post. Do you see the power your words have over me?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Maybe I've been living under a rock, but I haven't heard about any of these movies. I watch very little television these days, so that might explain why. I have heard of the book for War Horse. My friend says the book is great.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Dude, I'm really pumped for most of these. Tin Tin looks neat, and I do love myself some Robert Downey Jr.

Awesome about being finalist in the contest! Not ironic at all; your writing of snarky comments definitely qualifies you. ^_^

    ReplyDelete
  38. Alex - my Christmas shopping is done, yet I still feel inclined to panic. Not sure why. LOL

I'm excited to see TinTin and Sherlock Holmes.

    Have a fab Wednesday.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm looking forward to MI -- but only because of the supporting cast! And the action, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well, I'll have to sneak in the exit ... but Tinker Tailor and Sherlock are on my list.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Holmes! Did I ever tell you I visited the real life London cemetery where they dug up the Ginger Midget? Wait...I'm not sure if that's who they dug up, but they definitely said "Ginger Midget" while there. :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I could die happy after watching Tintin. I've waited for a film of that comic since I was a kid. Holmes for sure. MI because Mr. Bird is the man, and War Horse, because I haven't missed a Spielberg film yet.

I'm going to the movies a lot this month. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'll be checking out each of the first four... though I must say I'm only willing to see MI:Protocolo Fantasma (as it says in your image) because of Brad Bird.

Of course, with The Professor in tow, I don't expect a chance to see any of them until they arrive in a red envelope sometime next year. But you go, and enjoy yourself. Even if you're stuck watching a stupid horse movie.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I can't wait to see Sherlock Holmes! I'm on the fence about Mission Impossible. I'll wait to read the reviews.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm not sold on War Horse. Why would I pay money to go cry? And really, is there a plot point other than "Make audience cry"?

As for me, I'm giddy. One of the local theaters here does a full day LOTR marathon for $10. Doors open at 9:30am and we'll watch the extended editions of 1 and 2, and the theatrical release of 3, wrapping up somewhere around 10:30 that night. I'm excited but also unsure how my body will react to spending that much time in theater seats...

    ReplyDelete
  46. Loved your link to Cassafire.

Also, I've been waiting for the Sherlock Holmes movie. The first one was awesome, and I'm still holding my breath that Holmes will say, "Elementary, my dear Watson."

Oh, you had to have seen Secretariat...that was an awesome horse movie. And if you haven't, your wife should sit you down and make you watch it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Alex, in the preview reel for Sherlock Holmes is the trailer for the Hobbit due out in December 2012.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Looking forward to seeing Robert Downey Jr in another Sherlock Holmes movie. I'll watch anything he's in.
I grew up reading TinTin comic books in Sweden, so that's a must see as well. The boys (14 and 12) are looking forward to it. However, we don't usually GO to movies and instead wait for the DVD. Damn budgets...I'm planning on joining the insecure writers next week. It's been slipping past my radar for a long while now...
    Tina @ Life is Good

    ReplyDelete
  49. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. I'm looking forward to that one.

the rest I'll probably wait for for DVDs.

Son and I had a mom/son movie afternoon and watched Crazy Stupid Love and Conan. Do I have to turn in my girl credentials if I admit to liking Conan better? Actually, I thought it was well done. Should have done better at the box office.

    Sia McKye's Thoughts...OVER COFFEE

    ReplyDelete
  50. I read Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Gar Oldman sounds perfect for the part. And I definitely want to see Sherlock Holmes. Definitely.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Betty, I'm sorry!

    LCD, thank you.

    Nicki, no you didn't!

    David, you'll be busy.

TL, now that sounds awesome! I need to watch all three in a row someday.

Laila, yes, that was last year's stupid horse movie. Yes, it was good. I just didn't need to see it in the theater...

    Michael, I've seen it!

    Tina, please join!

Sia, oh no! My wife liked it as well. Maybe it was just Jason Momoa half naked...

    ReplyDelete
  52. Good job on the nomination! I'll stop by and vote.

The only preview I've seen lately that I'm dying to see is Young Adult.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Seeing the previews for Tintin take me back to my childhood. Of playing treasure hunt and pirates as a kid.

War Horse looks like a great movie too, from the previews.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I have to admit, my inner fangirl squealed when I saw another Sherlock Holmes movie was coming out. I love Robert Downey Jr!

And I've always loved Tom Cruise and his Mission Impossible series. Been waiting for that one awhile now. :D

    ReplyDelete
  55. Sherlock Holmes, Mission Imopossible, and TinTin all look good. We haven't watched any movies in a while though . . . it seems like our fall/winter months are so busy with other amazing events that movies just get left behind. I miss them, but can't be sorry about skiing, watching my girls dance, or wrangling a bunch of kids into Christmas pageant.

    ReplyDelete
  56. LOVE Gary Oldman! I would love to see that remake and I agree that Robert Downey is great as Sherlock Holmes. The horse flick..well the ending will probably be that he finally meets back up with the horse and the horse saves him but dies doing so..weep, weep. Blah, blah. Now for great Christmas films that I always watch-"It's A Wonderful Life"-How can one not love that movie. I alos love "Going My Way", "Miracle on 34th St" and many others. Of course must watch Rudolph and Santa Claus is coming to town. I always feel bad when the TV cuts out the future ms. Santa singing in an LSD Psychedelia(Spelling??) inspired style...oh well. :)

    ReplyDelete
  57. The Swedish versions of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series were awesome. I like horse movies, too, but that one sounds a bit too sweet. Thinking over my IWSG post.

    ReplyDelete
  58. 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' is one I'll be looking into.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I want to see sherlock holmes, but I haven't really heard of some of the other ones. Looks like I have so looking around to do.

    ReplyDelete
  60. The quirk factor always attracts me. I won't mention the Emile Hirsch factor. :) I love the premise of War Horse too. I wish hubby would go to the movies, but we wait for DVDs, or cable.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Johanna, thanks!

Jasmine, I won't squeal, but I am excited for the next Sherlock Holmes.

Tyreean, I'll take your word for it on that last one...

Birgit, Rudolph was on last night!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I think War Horse would make me cry. No movies are on the list.
    Nancy
    N. R. Williams, The Treasures of Carmelidrium

    ReplyDelete
  63. The film that speaks to me the most is the Mission Impossible one, but I guess that's because it's been advertised on TV so much in the past week. The preview looks like a car commercial. Actually, I think it is a car commercial.

    Lee

    ReplyDelete
  64. I have been looking forward to the new Holmes movie for what feels like forever. So excited. Also want to see the new M:I movie and The Darkest Hour (not sure why but it intrigues me). I'm sorry you'll have to go see the horse movie...that sounds a bit like torture.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Looks like some good films as I remember some from TV series years ago. Hope you're not going to the cinema Christmas Day...lol

    Yvonne.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Lee, you could be right!

Amanda, I'm sure my wife will want to see it.

Yvonne, no I don't! Those poor workers at the theater should be at home with their families.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Hey Alex, really looking forward to Sherlock Holmes. AS far as Christmas movies go we have a tradition about watching National Lapoons CHRISTMAS VACATION. Never get tired of that movie.

    ReplyDelete
  68. That Tinker Tailer one looks good, and I plan to see the next Sherlock Holmes movie with my boys.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Haha, clearly we don't see the same kinds of movies!

    ReplyDelete
  70. John Carre is a brilliant spy novelist and former intelligence man himself, so I definitely want to see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. And yes, I'll see the horse movie. I've seen just clips of the stage play and was amazed with it.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Lots of goodies - looking forward to M:I and Tintin... and loads of the others - will be avoiding War Horse though - not a fan of weepy stuff!
Good luck on the awards front
    Lx

    ReplyDelete
  72. I rolled my eyes at my husband during the War Horse trailer. Does not appeal to me at all.

Did you see/review J Edgar? Saw it last weekend and am looking for other opinions...

    ReplyDelete
  73. TBR'd, voted, and didn't know there was another S Holmes movie! Woot!! Looking forward to that one!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Siv, you just like to see the cat fry. don't you?

Vicki, no, I didn't see that one.

    Thanks, Lynda!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I like Sherlock Holmes. I might watch some of the others on DVD when they come out. The horse movie might make me cry and I'll need tissues... Hope you win Alex!

    ReplyDelete
  76. None of them really stick out at me--I do plan to watch at least on Christmas movie this December, though. Probably The Polar Express and/or A Muppet Christmas Carol.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Oldman, Downey, Cruise all make the list of course. (just watched Romeo is Bleeding with Oldman and loved it). The Darkest Hour will get my viewing as well. Horse movies touch me and after the intensity of watching the horse in the Coen brothers True Grit, I don't think I am up for another one just yet.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Sherlock Holmes is on my list for sure! As for the others, I'll take them as they come!!!

    ReplyDelete
  79. I'm not sure I would see any of them. I'm trying to play catch-up with blogs, but Nov was a hectic month for me. Glad Dec starts tomorrow. Yeah!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I added CassaFire to my Goodreads list about an hour ago :)

I'm looking forward to Sherlock Holmes!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Thanks, Karen!

Golden, you have to watch A Muppet Christmas Carol!

Chuck, you know it will be intense. And make everyone in the theater cry. Spielberg is good at that.

    Jemi, thank you so much!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Ohh the Sherlock Holmes and The Darkest Hour have my attention... just can't do Tom Cruise

    ReplyDelete
  83. My son read War Horse and is looking forward to the film, and TinTin is a favorite from my husband's childhood. Looks like those two will be our next movie outings!

    ReplyDelete
  84. You obviously don't have kids or grandkids. You left out "Muppets" and "Hugo", along with other movies that had my lap filled with popcorn and a child. Someday, Alex. Someday.

    ReplyDelete
  85. M.I. grabs my attention! I also think Sherlock Holmes will be a treat~
War Horse looks like an emotional fest. Tin Tin looks amazing~
Always a lot of great films in December...

    ReplyDelete
  86. Heard Hugo was really good but not for very little ones due to attention span issues which has me nervous because I have been known to have attention span issues as well.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the new Holmes will be as good as the last one. I really love Downey.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Wow, I'm still trying to catch up from holiday travel. I need to get back in the game for movie month. December is awards season after all. I do want to see Ghost Protocol. If not for Cruise's tallest building stunt.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Very nice animation (using the latest techniques) in The Adventures of Tintin. But half of the film I was about to fall asleep, if not because of the peĂcula or my fault.

    ReplyDelete
  90. War Horse was a major hit play in London a few years back. I think it's still running.
I don't see many current movies, usually waiting for them to come out on DVD. Here in Santander we have Filmoteca, part of a national chain subsidized by the government. For only 2.5 euros you can see art films, international indies, and old classics.
They've been showing lots of old classics lately and I recently saw Rosemary's Baby. Hadn't seen it in 20 years and it still felt pretty creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Susan, those were last months movies - I've already seen Muppets and will Arthur Christmas this weekend.

    Nancy, that's funny!

MsMariah, surprised they were able to use the tallest building.

Sean, that's a really old film!

    ReplyDelete
  92. None of these speak to me except maybe the last one. I saw the first Holmes movie with RDjr and found it so far removed from the original stories I decided not to bother with rest.

    ReplyDelete
  93. The answer to your movie question is elementary, my dear Alex.

Also, Tinker looks like it could be really good.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I really want to see the new Sherlock Holmes. Loved the first one and this new film looks even better!

Hope you're having a great week, Alex!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Wifey wants to see Mission Impossible, I want to see Sherlock Holmes, and kids want to see War Horse. We'll probably settle for TinTin.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Voted!

Ah, December releases are always great. Saw "Tintin" the other day and really, really enjoyed it. The animation was stunning.

The Darkest Hour and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows look like great fun! Ah, I'll watch all of these.. I can't help it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  97. The Christmas spirit movies depress me, but there is a Spanish film of the 60's (during the dictatorship of General Franco) is a key social critique in humor. It's called "Placido" and is one of the best of Spanish cinema, but I see that hard to find with English subtitles.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Hey congrats on the Karen award/nomination!!!!! You deserve it! Not sure Sherlock deserves my 10 bucks. haha

    ReplyDelete
  99. Don't forget Simon Pegg is in the new MI movie! I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, but I adore Simon. I saw the original GWTDT film and it was disturbing. Yet I'm still wanting to see the Daniel Craig version.

Super 8 arrived from Netflix today. That's my weekend movie!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Bish, my wife wasn't crazy about Sherlock Holmes either.

    Stephen, that's sad!

George, does that mean you'll be taunting us with a review soon? And thanks for voting.

    Thanks, Copyboy.

Christine, I saw the original Dragon Tattoo movie and agree with your assessment!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Ahh, WAR HORSE! The trailer amazed me! I have to watch it :)

    ReplyDelete
  102. Tinker Tailor sounds good and War Horse looks different. Will pass these onto DH, thanks Alex. :)

    ReplyDelete
  103. 'Sherlock' I'll have to see for sure and TinTin (maybe) - Spielberg doesn't usually miss with his choices.

(Another excellent Sherlock is The BBC version for TV. It's more like the classic, updated to modern times)

Good luck with the voting. You deserve any awards you win, IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Dude, I'm just looking forward to the day when, not if, CassaStar is featured here on your blog not as a book, but as a full feature length film. It's gonna be sweet!

    ReplyDelete
  105. There is no such thing as a stupid horse movie, Alex (at least, not for me). War Horse goes to the top of my must see list.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Glynis, he must be the movie hound in your house!

    DG, thanks.

Jeffrey, that would be awesome - and it's definitely my Holy Grail!

Patricia, animal movies are not at the top of my list, but somehow I always end up seeing them!

    ReplyDelete
  107. I'm with your wife! I want to see WAR HORSE!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  108. Sherlock is my top pick. I loved the first one. Ghost Protocol looks pretty cool although I'm not a Tom Cruise fan. And I do want to see War Horse, since I love horses, but I have a feeling I'm going to cry watching it...

    ReplyDelete
  109. None of those particularly catch my eye, although I think Gary Oldman is a fantastic actor.

As for Christmas films, I've never seen "It's a Wonderful Life", and I think this year I might rectify that fact.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I like War Horse and the Adventures of Tintin...

Must see these movies this holiday season, except when cake orders are not that much...lols...

I read ur comment on KP's guestpost...don't say that Alex, even if your GP was short, I like it that way...I wouldn't mind another GP from you next time...okay?

    You're special too...:)

    Have a great weekend...:)

    ReplyDelete
  111. I didn't know there was a new Mission Impossible movie. I will have to see that one.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Tin Tin looks awesome...; can't wait for it!!

    ReplyDelete
  113. Its a slow month, but if I had to choose it would be "MI:4" and "The Darkest Hour". Both look promising.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Alex, yes it does. The Tintin review is coming on Monday. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  115. Real excited for Tinker Tailor Solider Spy and The Tin Tin movie!

    ReplyDelete
  116. Super excited for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows!

    ReplyDelete
  117. What I love about December is that there are always lots of cool movies to see. I'm excited for Sherlock Holmes, Mission: Impossible, and War Horse. And I'll probably try to catch one or two limited releases that are getting some Oscar buzz. Because I like to do that.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Liz, we'll probably see it...

    Pat, thanks dude!

CD, everyone needs to see it once.

Amity, thank you so much! I really, really appreciate that.
