For the A to Z Challenge, I am featuring some awesome bloggers. These individuals have offered so much support of my book, CassaStar, and me on my blogger journey. Of course, I’ll be keeping up with the world of movies, music, and pop culture stuff as well! Ninjas are just talented that way...
Nerdville Rhapsody
Kelly is an agented fantasy writer and calls herself a certified nerd. (Nothing wrong with that!) She also digs science fiction, movies, and covers a wide variety of topics on her blog. Kelly’s a cool nerd in my book!
Not Worth Mentioning
He goes by the name of Copyboy, and his blog isn’t for the faint of heart. He touches on pop culture, the unusual and gross, and anything else that catches his eye. Copyboy is willing to sacrifice his dignity for a laugh. Just don’t tell his wife…
And Nicole Zoltack had a new book release this week! Go tell her congratulations.
Now for a little science fiction geek news. Caught this last week and it’s just too cool!
Artist John Martz created a poster – Trexels – that features 235 Star Trek characters in pixelated form:
You can view the high-resolution image on his site HERE
Can you name all of the characters from the numerous Star Trek series and movies? I named most of them…
I'm not even a Star Trek fan, but I adore the Trexels! I want one :D
ReplyDeleteNice post. Love the Star Trek geek fest.

Trexels! Thanks for the link. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I feel all choked up with emotion. This Star Trek trexel is truly wonderful. (I guess my secrets out.) Harry Mudd, Alternate reality Kirk and Spock, the Gorn, T'Pring, Mugato, Khan, Green Orion girl, Lokai and Tyree are beside each other on the top row. Did I get them right? Thankyou Alex.
ReplyDeleteWell, that is one cool Star Trek poster. I did not watch it but my sons were avid fans. What a neat thing to create. This A-z Challenge, while being a stressful thing at times, has been great for learning new things and meeting new people.
ReplyDeleteFunny poster. For some reason mirror Spock jumped out at me before I even recognized the Gorn he stood beside. Odd.
ReplyDeleteSpacerguy, you're on a roll!
ReplyDeleteJeanne, glad you're enjoying the Challenge!
Those Trexels are so cool!
ReplyDeleteCaptain's Log: I prefer picard over kirk. Yes I know that might be blashpemous but I never was one for following rules. Love the poster! Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteI see the Horta and... TRIBBLES!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for letting us know about these fantastic blogs that we otherwise wouldn't know about! I couldn't name any of the Star Trek characters...sorry, but I am not into science fiction at all...if I ever do think of Star Trek, the first thing that pops into my mind is William Shatner! And Leonard Nimoy. Other than that...I know nothing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving us ideas about other blogs we might want to visit. It helps knowing a little about each one before we click on the name.

ReplyDeleteNicki - cool!!! So I didn't waste my entire young life in front of the TV.
Glad you are okay; not far from me, it is bad! Worst thing for us was our deck table blew over and the tiles on broke. I can't complain.... It is devastating for so many! Really sad~
ReplyDeleteThe Trexels are excellent. Good stuff!
ReplyDeleteI’m A-Z Blogging on Langley Writes about Writing and Langley’s Rich and Random Life
My older brother and I watched Star Trek religiously as kids. But I haven't seen an episode in eons. So I won't fare well at trying to name the characters.
ReplyDeleteLucy
Ella, our city was hit hard, but we only lost some branches.
ReplyDeleteAlex, I'm sorry to hear that! It was one scary night; the horror still continues for so many~ I read 62 tornadoes were part of this system...??! Crazy weather; I do believe a change is coming. Just hope if it is the ice age, it takes it's time. I don't like cold; I'm from cold!

ReplyDeleteWhat a cool poster!
ReplyDeleteIf you named most of those then that's kind of impressive I guess. I guess 3 in the top row, but didn't even try with the rest since I knew I wouldn't know. Heck, I have a hard time keeping track of the names of everyone in my family sometimes.
