I really have almost reached the end of NetFlix. Here are some recent watches:
Death cult goes to great lengths to recruit man to be their anti-Christ.
Disturbing, creepy, weird, and depressing. Plus evil
Only recommended if you like those things in your movies.
I’ve also come to the conclusion that there are some really bad horror movies out there.
Man accidentally takes drug called ‘soy sauce’ and it gives him the ability to see other dimensions.
Weird, fun, quirky, and trippy.
Recommended if you enjoy those four things.
Man comes back from the war with the ability to find anything, and once he starts, he can’t stop.
Very fun and funny. Yet another great show tragically cut short after only thirteen episodes.
Check this gem out – highly recommended!

John Dies at the End, I have been holding onto... waiting for the right moment to, okay just want to be in that kind of mood. I just watched a movie that came out 12 years ago and it's a sequel to the Hitchhiker... it picks up 15 years later... Thomas C. Howell does a reprise of that role... yikes another guy with his thumb out. don't pick these people up.

I tried reading John Dies in the End. So, maybe I'll try the movie.
Our family watched The Hobbit this weekend. Big thing I noticed is that there was no rising action. The dwarves and Bilbo kept getting into scrape after scrape just for Gandalf to save them at the last minute. The writer in me wanted them to save themselves, at least once.

Congratulations to Rebecca, TF and Doralynn! I'll be looking into John Dies at the End and The Finder, they sound like something both hubby and I would enjoy.
1) I know the Mayas and Aztecs introduced us to chocolate, but I have no idea what drink the Incas invented.
2) The Mayan civilization included several Central American countries, like Guatemala and Belize and covered the area of the Yucatan Peninsula.
3)Giant sequoias and/or redwoods.
4)I'll say the Dead Sea.
5) Haven't a clue!
The answer to #4 is the Dead Sea. I don't know the others. You cracked me up when you wrote that you have come to the conclusion that there are a lot of really bad horror movies out there...yes there are lol.

I believe the Incas invented hot chocolate. Their version was spicy. I like mine spicy, too. Gives it a fun kick.
Also, I've been curious to check out John Dies at the End. It was written by the senior editor of Cracked (which I am a fan).
I had no idea there was an end to Netflix. I just signed up for it last month and am almost at the end of Parks and Rec and Hemlock Grove. Loving Parks and Reck and not to sure about Hemlock Grove just yet.

Couldn't agree more on The Finder. Great show that wasn't given a chance....typical for the Fox Network, though. Though, I did like the original cast from the "Bones" episode a bit more, it was still a fun show even after it was spun off.
John Dies at the End is one I saw on my list, but hadn't watched yet. I'll have to give it a try...thanks for the recommendation :)
Oh man, I loved the Finder. More than Bones, actually. The cast had great chemistry, and I found the whole thing hilarious.

I've been very curious to try the novel of John Dies at the End. Do you have any feelings on it, Alex?
Sshelley's book actually sounds very good. I don't normally like stories like that because of all the romance in them, but this one sounds new and different. I will have to keep an eye out for it.
I've heard about that movie, JOhn dies in the end, and have considered watching it. Might have to do so sometime.

Wasn't "The Finder" a "Bones" spin-off? I know one of the actors, Michael Clark Duncan, is dead now. I too enjoyed the series when it was on television. The spinoff occurred about the time I stopped watching Bones because they killed off a character I liked and that upset me.
I would recommend for Netflix watching:
1) The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (if you're into that serious WWII stuff)
2) The Hole (if you're into some slightly trippy horror)
3) All the Land Before Time Movies because it will bring back beautiful memories and make you cry.

I know, I know #4. I floated in it. We rubbed ourselves with this mud-tar-like substance, before floating on the Dead Sea. It was some sort of protection from the salt. A neat experience.

By the time I have gotten to the bottom of all the comments I have forgotten the questions, I knew Hot Chocolate and the Dead Sea but can't remember any of the others. Oh, OK, I think redwoods and An Unknown Soldier Not sure about the Mayan Pyramids, I think Mexico is one. Oh and Belize where the knock them down.

My first thought, yay! Travel trivia, but then I had to go and look up the first question - Inca's drank Chicha. Of course I work for a travel company who goes to these countries so i'm saying Guatemala. The sequoia is the giant tree in Yosemite, the Dead Sea is the saltiest. I have no idea what the Incas invented except I do know they were early consumers of cocaine in the form of coca leaves. :)

Didn't the Incas invent coffee? Mexico is home to the Mayan pyramids, I'm pretty sure. Sequoias grow in Yosemite and the saltiest body of water is either The Great Salt Lake in Utah or the Dead Sea in Israel. I have no clue who is buried under L'Arc de Triomphe.

As for films, I attempted to take little man to the cinema this weekend, but there were four films on he wanted to see, he was so spoilt for choice he couldn't make his mind up, so when his made came round to play, he said he didn't want to go, so I didn't go! :(
I'm so far behind on blog comments; I started at 7p tonight, got sidetracked by e-mails, my kid, phone calls, and next thing I know its way past bedtime and haven't gotten to any of the blogs I set out to read.
Trivia: uhm, the Myans are in Mexico (or is is Guatamala) and So Africa I think. The Great Salt Lake in Utah seems an easy answer for that one, since you said "body" not sea. And since Yosemite is in Calif, the old trees must be either Redwoods or Sequoia's.
Sheesh, I'm not better at this trivia than at any of the others.

1 – What drink did the Incas invent? - was it coffee?
2 – Name either of the countries that are home to the Mayan Pyramids - Brazil, chilli? Mexico?
3 – What large tree grows in Yosemite National Park? No idea. Redwoods grow pretty big, right?
4 – What body of water is the saltiest in the world? The Dead Sea.
5 – Who is buried under Paris’ Arc de Triomphe? An unknown soldier from World War I.
Talk about dumb, I had none of the answers. Great post over on M. J.'s.
I liked the Finder too, interesting characters, loved the voodoo shows.
