CREATIVE - A to Z Challenge

It’s the third A to Z Challenge! Blog the letters of the alphabet in order every day except Sundays The participation list is HERE – start with the blog after yours and visit at least five blogs a day. Mostly, make new friends and have fun!

My theme – I have selected a word for each day and will present to you blogger buddies who fit that description, along with movies, music, etc. My theme is to give back, highlight some awesome bloggers, and have fun in the process.

CREATIVE

Ella at Ella’s Edge
This woman is a true artist. She writes, crafts, and takes photographs. Her posts are always graced with eloquent words and beautiful images. The reflect a wonderful person who is thoughtful, kinds, and in a place of peace. We’re in our third Challenge together, having made friends that first year. Ella, you’ve added grace and charm to the journey in a big way!

Robyn at Life by Chocolate
Robyn is creative with a twist. From her Saturday Census to Life in Chico to her celebration of a life of celibacy, you’ll view the world a little differently through Robyn’s eyes. She’s even creative with her chocolate! However, behind the quirk is a spirited woman with a heart of gold. Robyn, I am honored to call you my friend!

Skyrim
Wow! That’s the reaction people have as they wander through the lush environment, explore amazing caves and tombs and fight massive dragons. The snow scenes are so believable they’ll keep you cool on the warmest days. With over a hundred hours of game play this is one massively creative game.

Ninja News!

Laura Bambrey at The Daily Dodo has a new book on Amazon - 100 Blog Prompts! Those of you still looking for A to Z posts might find some ideas…

Rachel Morgan’s next book, Labyrinth, is now available. Congratulations, Rachel!

And don’t forget the Insecure Writer’s Support Group post is tomorrow! Find a creative way to work it into your post. (Yes, another challenge!)

Do you know Ella and Robyn? A Skyrim junkie? Addicted to any kind of games? (Hey, I know some of you play Farmville!) Ready for the IWSG tomorrow? And who do you know who is really creative?

  2. I'll be over to check out your friends soon. They both sound interesting :-)

MMO's are my thing. First WoW, then SWTOR. I've got rid of them now though. A time and money suck :-)

  26. I'm familiar with Ella and Robyn but I'm affraid the Skyrim has escaped my notice until now! I used to be addicted to this beetle computer game where you shoot same colored balls at a moving train of balls and they explode. I think it hypnotised me. (ya, lets go with that) I'd play so much, I'd dream about the frickin thing at night.

    Yvonne, you should've joined us.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Darn it. I completely forgot about IWSG--for some reason I thought all that was happening in April was the A-Z Challenge. I'll have to work on my post!

  87. While I'm not addicted to any games, I did play World of Warcraft and Tekken some time ago. I don't know anything about that Farmville mess and have never even checked out the other popular games that it seems like everyone and their mama likes such as Angry Bird.

Maybe I'll get to know Ella and Robyn when I start reading their blogs more often now that you've featured them here! They both sound like they fit the mold of creative bloggers and so I look forward to checking out what they have in store for the A to Z Challenge.

  95. I did write a new post for D just for IWSG. My sister is incredibly creative - not with writing - but with gardening and art. After years of doing art for fun, now she has a studio where she teaches pottery.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I love Skyrim. Last year I played 130 hours and there is still so much left I want to discover. Unfortunately I do no find time to play. Everyone who has played Skyrim will agree with me that it does make sense if you can't play minimum two hours.

And now I will visit Ella's Edge.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I am so regretting not jumping on the A to Z train.

    Many terrific writers out there.

  105. You should give the points to me!
    1. I am most worthy of any Star Wars points. Ask Briane. Well, he might not say so since he has been going to greater and greater lengths to give my chances to lose points. Basically, the blogathon keeps shifting into more ways for me not to stay ahead.
    2. I'm no longer ahead, because you and Michael gave your points to Rusty.
    3. You gave your bounty to Rusty, so you should give these to me.
    4. As soon as I get caught up (which won't be until May because of A to Z), I'll be reviewing your 1st book (that's your bribe).
    5. Hmm... I had a 5th, but I've forgotten it. I have to go get dinner on the table, though...

    ReplyDelete
  106. So, I was coming over here to ask for your points for the Star Wars Blogathon, but right before your blog loaded I saw exactly how pathetic I am in the standings, and figure if you give your points to me it's kind of a lost cause. However, being the optimistic person I am, if you were to give me your points, I could then potentially use the whammy questions to at least get in there a little bit... (as long as I don't whammy again) Yeah, still sounds kind of pathetic. I don't really have anything to bribe you with... What would you like? :) So, I guess I have to appeal to your kind nature (I hear you're a very friendly, kind individual). Taking it all under consideration, if you give the points to someone like Andrew or Rusty, I totally understand!! But I still had to make an effort ;) Please?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Some people have talents in so many areas they make me feel a little like an underachiever.

    ReplyDelete
  108. We all love Robyn! Not only because she spells her name the same as my niece but her site is hilarious. AND I enjoy her comments on my site.

I just downloaded Laura's book to my Kindle PC reader...can't wait to get into it (if I can find time).

And everyone I meet in the blog world is amazingly creative. And very inspirational.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Love your support of blogging buddies! And Skyrim sounds awesome, but completely addictive and I don't have time to even peek at something like that . . . I would get even less done in a day than I do now.

    ReplyDelete
  110. You know, at this point. I kind of feel like a heel for even asking for points. I read Andrew's response and think he's probably the most deserving based on merit, I read Laura's plea and think how hard it is to turn down a lady in distress....

So please, give your points to Laura... I'll take my chances with Andrew and PT striking out on a Whammy question.

    ReplyDelete

  113. What an awesome theme for the challenge. I don't know Ella or Robyn, but I'm on my way to check them out. And I'm so excited for Rachel and the release of her new book - she'd been one busy lady!

  114. Great way to highlight your blog buddies. I'll check them out.

  115. Great choices...wish I had time to read everyone's blogs. So many great ones...this is a BLAST!! Already made a few new friends, hope to pick up a few new followers before the month is out. LOVE A to Z (already thinking about my theme for next year).

    ReplyDelete
  116. Okay! I've continued to think about the 500 points and decided that I may need to be a bit more selfish.

I work for a dictatorial regime that forces me to work all day long. I can only steal moments away from work when I'm going to the restroom or getting some water. I use those precious few moments to check on the quiz updates - on my phone - only to find that Andrew or Patrick have already answered the questions. And recently, even Laura has beat me.

That's right. I'm working while they play trivia. My few victories have either been by pity on someone's part, or from some weekends, when I actually have a chance.

I don't give up though. I've managed to hang in there, tooth and nail, and am struggling to hang in there for another couple of months.

How dedicated am I? I just bought a Star Wars shirt just for this competition to wear on weekends.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Congrats to the two authors with books out! And I hear about Skyrim all the time!

    ReplyDelete
  118. I swear, you think about everything. You know about everything. I'm always amazed. You'd think I'd get used to it, but it hasn't happened yet. :)

    ReplyDelete
  119. Andrew, but if you don' t like my book, then that is a threat.

Lara, you plead a good case!

Chuck, her book is awesome - you'll see!

    CLee, probably..

    Donna, glad you're enjoying it!

    Rusty, better...

    Leigh, just a blogging dude.

I'm home on Spring Break this week, but next week I'll not get to be on the computer during the day. Plus, I got the dang question wrong!! I didn't even get the points! (hate those trick questions!)

It was nice of him to initially want you to give the points to me, though! Touched my desperate heart... ;)
