A to Z Challenge - D

For the A to Z Challenge, I am featuring some awesome bloggers, many of whom are participating in the Challenge. These individuals have offered so much support of my book, CassaStar, and me on my blogger journey. Of course, I’ll be keeping up with the world of movies, music, and pop culture stuff as well! Ninjas are just talented that way...

Dreams are my Reality
Amity is a sweet soul! As her blog title suggests, her posts are dreamy and often filled with visual poetry. Her view on the world contains some magic, so go take a peak. You just might find your day a little brighter.

Donna Hole
Donna pulls no punches and is very devoted to those who follow and comment. She keeps up with the blogfests and always has lists and entries. Donna still has an elephant photo posted for Dezz, which is just cool! Like an elephant, she never forgets to come by and say hey.

And for those participating in the Challenge...

Those of you at the end of the list, do not despair! Many started at the beginning. But not all of us. I started in the middle - or what I thought was the middle - and I am working my way back to you as fast as I can. Just don't give up. You will make some really special friends during the Challenge.
And don't forget - Tron: Legacy comes out today on DVD. The boxed set is mine!!

  4. 'Dreams are my Reality' is certainly a promising title. It's what it's all about.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Thanks again, Alex, for more cool blogs to check out. :)

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'm glad you're taking the time to highlight others because it's a great chance to meet them as well :)

    ReplyDelete
  7. I didn't start anywhere, I am just surprised all the time:) Going to check out those blogs now, thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Will check them out. I'm alternating between hopping about and going in order. A to Z folks will be seeing me pop up in July, probably---late, but finally arriving!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I don't really hop but definitely return visits. I had to spend time daily to crank-up my brain for a post because I made a last minute decision. I am kinda like that;)

  10. I worshiped at the altar of Tron back in the eighties. It is still breathtaking despite all the improvements in special effects.

The new version is on my list of ‘buys’. Or is that True Grit? LOL. Jeff Bridges = versatile actor.

  11. Yvonne, I will personally come find a slide for you next time!

Duncan, keep going - the variety begins around #400 or so.

Laura, thank you!! I appreciate that.

    Thanks Elizabeth and Michelle.

Lisa, they will appreciate it even then!

    Huntress, I'll take both.

  12. I'm just randomly clicking on the list to see where I end up. It's working so far.

    And, I love Tron.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I cannot stand any sort of order even when I myself impose it, so I'm going at it at random, always giving priority to those who comment. I also pick links off twitter with the #atozchallenge, getting my daily dose at http://paper.li/tag/atozchallenge

Thanks to you guys, met some lovely bloggers, my readership is up by 80 per cent, and comments are up by... I don't know.... 200 per cent. I love A-Z, and hope it is even bigger next year...the Nano of Blogging! :D

  14. So great of you to showcase your supporters! You're a pretty big supporter yourself! :o)

  20. Hi Alex,

Oh gosh, thanks for featuring me here...and oh yes, I do feel guilty, I haven't been able to start or have taken part in the A-Z challenge...:)

As if an excuse, I took part in a university graduation yesterday being an Alumni President and a son is graduating in high school and I just arrive from the ceremonies, then I saw your comment and hurried here!

I may not perfect the A-Z Challenge, but yes, I will soon be penning what would inspire me after a very hectic week and which will continue to be hectic since our grand alumni homecoming is at hand!

Excuses, excuses, I hate it but Alex, A-Z I wish not to miss!

Again, I felt so overwhelmed being again featured today in your blog! Thank you so much!

P.S. A very good blogger friend of mind kept on sending me books which I can read when i will have time soon: Sheldon, Austen and Brown's Lost Symbol a couple of days back which I received from the mailbox...now I may as well request that I be sent a Cassastar na...:)

Will tell you once I will have a copy of it!

See you soon in A-Z Challenge! :)

    Thanks, Nicole.

Thanks, Maurice - I'm sure they appreciated it.

Amity, you are most welcome. And the Alumni President! What an honor. And I am honored that you want to read CassaStar - thank you.

Dafeenah, that's what it's all about.

  27. Alex, I'm so glad I joined, even though I'm towards the bottom of the list. I've already met a handful of new blog friends and I love their blogs and comments, too. This is really a great community!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm very familiar with Donna Hole but Dreams are my Reality is new. I'll stop by and check it out.

  31. What a great idea - I love coming across new blogs of course but always great to get some recommendations!
    Have a fun April :)

  32. I should send you a finder's fee cake for bringing these nifty blogs to my notice. Between night shift and a three-year-old, there's not much time for scouting around. Good choices!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm going to visit each and every last blog on the list even if it takes me until the end of May!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Mary, I'm working my way towards the end!

Hey Ivy! I'm trying not to forget all of my buddies.

Monti, they seem to be everywhere.

    Book Gatherer, thanks.

Yard Bard, that's what I am doing every day for the Challenge.

You go, Jeffrey! I'm determined to do it before the month is over.

    ReplyDelete
  35. hi Alex! I started at the end but now I'm randomly clicking. just thought I'd let you know that I'm enjoying this challenge very much!

    thank you

    ReplyDelete
  36. I've been by Donna's, but I'll have to check out Amity. Thanks for pointing me to some other awesome blogs. And I hope the "surprise me" a-z button gets me to some great blogs at the end of the participant list!

    ReplyDelete
  37. still jealous you have 40 comments... I get 10 at most >LOL but you are a writer.. famous.. and you work very hard to comment... and I want to but get caught up being a mother of a 5 year old.. I went to visit both blogs.. thanks.. I enjoyed them.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hope, glad you are!

    Donea, I bet it will.

Wasabi, don't worry about amounts - enjoy those who visit.

    ReplyDelete
  39. This is a unique idea for the challenge, or so it seems to me. You must have made quite a few contacts to have bloggers for every letter of the alphabet, wow.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I started at 600. The list seems to get longer by the day. :-O May take me until July to get through it. But the challenge is fun.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I have been using the Surprise Me! button and have been able to visit so many blogs (sometimes twice!). I'm thankful to you and those who are hosting this challenge. It has gotten me out of my comfort zone.

    ReplyDelete
  42. This is my first visit to your blog, Alex, and I am grateful I found you today via the AtoZchallenge. I decided to roll through the blog feed as I had a few moments to visit and meet some new AtoZchallenge friends.

    Looking forward, onward and upward!

My D is for (anti)Drivel! LOL

  43. Thanks for visiting me at A Season for All Things. I signed up for the A-Z challenge, but my time became to challenging. I may rethink it though; I love what everyone is writing about.

I'm your newest follower and look forward to reading more of your posts. ~ Ellen

  44. You do a great job showing us which blogs to follow. I'm off... (Love today's title too).

Hey! Just before I go - I'm on vampires with a twist today. Is that more your line? (How does she make a blog post about vampires begin with "D" do I hear you ask?)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thanks for the highlighting some blogs! It really is hard to get around to so many blogs, but I've already come across a couple of really wonderful blogs that I know I'll be keeping in contact with.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thank you for sharing these links :) I'm off to check them now! It's very kind of you to do that :) I really enjoy the whole challenge - and I hope everyone makes it to the end!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I keep hitting the Surprise Me button and have met some cool bloggers. Donna is the best, yes. I'm clicking over now to meet Amity.

  48. Found you through the challenge, too.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I started with random choices and then went to the beginning and then tried to work backwards near the end but much like Duncan mentioned, the writing blogs seem to dominate, which is fine :) but I write all day long so when I need a break, getting through this challenge can seem like a daunting task when faced with 100% writing, all day and all night.

The surprise me function has brought me to some gems and I'm going to get in the middle to try and find that variety you mentioned!

  50. I started at number 500, but I have been going to quite a few from the twitter hashtag too.

I'm really enjoying going to so many types of blogs, but I admit there are a couple I've skipped for ideological reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I tried to start in the middle too. Glad your highlighting these great blogs.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I started at the end, the first end and then the second end, but I haven't made it to the third end. I will...

    Nancy, that's funny.

  57. Great choices for D! :)

I still haven't seen Tron - gotta do that one of these days...

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hey Alex! Thanks for the heads up on the D bloggers. They're awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I like seeing the other bloggers getting this recognition. I started at the beginning, but I haven't been getting very far with the consecutive listings since I've been mostly responding to my comments of which a great many have been coming from bloggers at the end of the list. I sure have come upon a lot of new bloggers!

Love Donna already. Gonna go check out Dreams!

    Holly, that's great!

Words, you're not missing much with the first Tron.

    You are welcome, Donna.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I've hopped around to different blogs using the "Surprise Me" button, but now I'm going in order (for a while at least).

    ReplyDelete
  65. I totally remember my dad taking me to see the first Tron. (Mom wouldn't go). Could we share the DVD set???

    ReplyDelete
  66. I've decided to comment from newest for a bit and then switch to comment on the oldest for a bit. It helps to lower the growing pile :P
