What’s not to dig about this over-the-top horror-monster thriller? A group of hijackers have chartered a boat and intend on robbing a stranded cruise ship, but giant, deep-sea creatures have got there first…
There are so many great one-liners and funny dialogue. Treat Williams and Kevin O’Connor are both hysterical.
In a scene where O’Conner and Wes Studi are being chased by the giant creatures:
Studi: The only way to slow ‘em down is to feed ‘em!
O’Conner: FEED ‘EM? The only thing I got is a wet stick of gum and a breath mint!
The film is also unbelievably gory.
Directed by Stephen Sommers, Deep Rising is a fun, cheesy popcorn flick!

Favorite cheesy flick? "Cat People"... a horror movie with an amazing soundtrack... slow, sinuous (cat-like?) music with lots of bass and the deep deep voice of David Bowie. There was another movie we watched years ago with friends on late late late night TV... a Japanese-made movies, dubbed to make the story seem to be about a prized egg salad recipe. It was hilarious.

We find that any film with Dean Cain or Karen Allen (These are the current films, of course) is going to be bad. Casts of 12, shot from 10 - 4 pm, cheesy music, poor graphics.
There are many many B- movies out there, but you caught me on a low brain day.
Sometimes.. when I'm really busy.. I intentionally don't visit your blog because you always talk about so many awesome books. It makes me sad to see all the things I'd like to read but CAN'T.

Ah, but what B-move to pick? There are so many! I just watched MST3K's treatment of Future War with the kid. Certainly a strong contender for worst movie of all time.
It's funny that you love metal Alex. You seem such a gently soul and you love something which sounds right out of Hell. As you can tell, I'm not a fan. :)

As far as B-movies go, there are too many to mention, but I recently had a nostalgic conversation about Mack and Me. I'd totally forgotten about that movie. It's not your typical B-movie but I think it'll do.
