A to Z Challenge - C

For the A to Z Challenge, I am featuring some awesome bloggers, many of whom are participating in the Challenge. These individuals have offered so much support of my book, CassaStar, and me on my blogger journey. Of course, I’ll be keeping up with the world of movies, music, and pop culture stuff as well! Ninjas are just talented that way...

Coffee Rings Everywhere
Rayna lives in India and posts in 100 word drabbles. The wisdom of this woman amazes me! She’s a mother, a working professional, a marathon runner, and a keen observer of life. Follow her drabbles and you just might learn something about the world.

CineMarvellous!
Nebular runs an awesome movie site. He has great taste in films (my biased but accurate opinion) and his reviews are informative and to the point. His interests go beyond movies though, so a conversation with Nebular might surprise you. For the widest selection of movie reviews, visit his award-winning site!

And for my faithful Ninja Army...

The crappy thing about this Challenge? Yes, there is a downside!

I don't have time to visit all of my regular buddies every day!!

My friends, stick with me. It's like NaNoWriMo. I've had to scale back. As a Challenge host, I'm trying to visit as many participating blogs as possible. Miss you guys - I'll be back full force in May. Besides, I need to gear up for another awesome blogfest in June...

Thanks for the mentioning and for all the kind words, Alex. I really appreciate it! :) It seem I'm already a part of this massive challenge, even if indirectly :)

I'm so looking forward to you blogfest in June. I just can't predict what you have in mind this time :)

Come on Alex, there's only 1200 members, should be done by lunch (April 4th 2012).

I can to that same conclusion on Friday. Visiting my regular cyber buds took a backseat. I tried to see as many as I could.

I'm looking forward to discovering new blogs to read--thanks for focusing giving us some links. And don't worry...you can only do so much visiting!

Li said...

It's a big help for you to visit these new blogs and point us in their direction. (I've visited a ton of blogs over the weekend and I usually see that you've gotten there ahead of me! :)

I'm discovering a lot of new bloggers which is cool, some with similar interests that I probably wouldn't have found if it wasn't for the challenge.

Keeping up with the blogs daily is tough though, especially during the week while I'm at work full-time. But I'm trying my best!

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

Yvonne, yes it is!

Nebular, you're welcome. And I've something cool planned.

Mood, I'll stop slacking then!

Elizabeth, I'm really trying though.

li, that's the Ninja skills kicking in!

Liz, glad you're making friends!

Clever entry for 'C'! And I hear you, Alex, I'm feeling the same angst about not visiting my regular blogger peeps. I'm just going to embrace the crazy schedule and get back to a routine in May. Have a blast!

Thanks for visiting my blog during this busy challenge.

Amber T. Smith said...

I've known Rayna for years (albeit only online), so I already follow her awesome blog. I'll check out your other recommendation though!

The list of blogs I am following is becoming huge because of this crazy challenge! Definitely not complaining though, as I've found some real gems. :)

April will be out of whack for all A-Z bloggers, and I can't imagine what it would be like for a host! Thanks again for organizing this, I have never had as much fun blogsurfing before!

Tundiel, and that's the bonus - finding new buddies.

Damy, glad you're having a blast.

Thanks, Kitty!

Hilary, thanks, and I'll visit soon...

Bz, I hope everyone does!

Ellie, thank you. I couldn't select my own book though.

Sangu, I intend to visit all of them!

Ruth @Welcome to me said...

It's hard getting to all of the blogs. But its fun too.

Nate Wilson said...

What do you mean you don't have time to visit your regulars everyday? A Challenge like this demands sacrifice! I suggest not sleeping until May. (Sure, that might turn you into a wreck, but on the plus side, I bet your comments would become completely nonsensical and hilarious.) Thanks again for another pair of recommendations.

Sommer Leigh said...

I spent sunday catching up on regular blogs I visit that I didn't visit friday or saturday. I think that will have to continue since I'm reading so many new blogs. (Although there are a couple of "MUST" reads that I check every day compulsively with my coffee. I can't even start my day unless I check them.)

I love Rayna and her drabbles! Yay!

Thank you so much, Alex, for featuring me, and for the marvellous things you said. Was the word you used really Wisdom? I am going to savour that one word for the rest of the month.

And thank you for being such a regular visitor to my blog- I have been really bad recently, but like someone else told me today, if I do not visit here, I am probably not going anywhere else.

I will be back!!! Soon!

~Sia McKye~ said...

There are some wonderful blogs out there. More than I have time to visit on a regular basis.

I'm enjoying some of the A-Z challenge. I'm not participating fully--my blog doesn't lend itself to that easily since I feature authors and books. But Mondays I can.

I have seen and read some of CineMarvellous but haven't seen Coffee Rings Everywhere.

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

Nate, you might have a point there!

Sommer, that's what I did as well.

Angela, you have no idea...

Rayna, you are welcome, and yes, you are very wise!

kelly, it's good to be the king!

Dafeenah, think it will be cut off soon...

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

Ella, sorry the movie was disappointing.

Sarah, I can imagine!

Karen, I'm going to at least once.

Callie, everyone's been clamouring for another one of my blogfests and I have something cool planned.

Thanks for stopping by Alex. Don't worry our "regulars" will be there. It's just like our good friends in real life. Heading over to visit those you mentioned :-)

Alex, I think that's typical of any event organizer. You sacrifice time with friends and colleagues--and your own participation, to some degree--to ensure others have a good experience.

I was a bit skeptical of the time and effort ROI when I signed on. I'm not now. So many awesome people, so little time.

Thank you for hosting this.

I got through a couple hundred on the list but to get through them all is going to be, well, a challenge (no pun intended). I still have to visit the regular visitors too. Don't want to neglect my bread and butter. My meat and potatoes. My ... well, you get the idea.

Thanks, Shah!

Nicki - all right!!!!!!

Joe, glad you're enjoying it.

Grandpa, I intend to visit everyone at least once, twice if possible!

Matthew - yes. Freaking is a good word.

Stephen, just trying to balance the two.

Oh Donna, heck with it - enjoy Ireland!

Candy, I hope not.

Hey Alex, thanks for hosting! I'm looking forward to reading Cassastar, but bought Talli Roland's The Hating Game a few minutes before yours, so reading that one first. Yes, I'm that anal ;-)
Thanks for the good tips on getting the most out of this challenge. I'll admit I'm a bit overwhelmed with over 1200 blogs to visit...but I'll give it a stab!

Lydia, I'm trying!

Tina, thank you so much! And I know you'll really enjoy Talli's book.

Mary, that's wonderful!

KC, and that's the whole point - fun!

Michael, it's not. Trying to hit 40+ new ones and at least half of my buddies every day.

It's definitely a challenge trying to visit everyone's blogs but it's also uplifting, as I get to find out about other bloggers and learn new things.

I like The Coffee Rings decision to write 100 word posts, so I'll pay her a visit since it's easy to digest and will make sure to stop on over to CineMarvellous because, well....with a blog name like that, who wouldn't!

Don't worry, dude. You've earned my friendship, and that's very hard to lose once attained.

Melissa Ann Goodwin said...

Alex, you are doing a great job - thanks for making it to my blog. But hey people, come on - there are 66 comments on Alex's post today, 110 yesterday, and I've been visiting people in the 1000+ group who have NONE. Ive decided to focus on leaving comments on blogs in the upper numbers, as I think those people must feel lonely (me included!!) So, maybe some of your visitors could get around to others - especially if there are already a ton of comments - spread it around people!!

Chuck said...

Thanks for 2 more blogs to check out! I'm with you about not being able to visit some of my regular blogs, but there's a couple that I hit every time anyway.

You're so right! I don't have time!!! Argh!! And this is my last month to work on revising and writing as I'm going on hiatus during the summer due to moving and whatnot.

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

Jeffrey, thanks!

Melissa, I started in the middle of the list, so I'm working my way towards you!

Hannah, no! Don't move. Well, only if you promise to return.

It's really hard to not go down the blogroll and visit all my normal friends. Sigh....

But the point of this is, partly, to meet new people. And hopefully, that's what everyone is doing. If people that normally show up don't, I'm not worried. I'm just assuming they're out and about making new friends! Don't stress it!

Oh yeah. You recommend some really great bloggers!
