The End is Near!!

Chuck at Apocalypse Now gave me the End of Days Award! Chuck blogs about signs of the apocalypse using news and graphs, so if you need a good laugh, be sure to visit his blog daily.

What would I do if I knew the end was coming on 12-21-2012?

Make sure I finished playing Starcraft II!
Watch all the movies I haven’t seen yet. Oh, wait, I’ve already done that.
Watch all my favorite movies again! One can never get enough Serenity or Aliens.
Finish the sequel to CassaStar and soon! (Hey, we don’t have much time.)
Take all my money and buy a fast sports car and drive around like a maniac – speed limits be damned!
And last but not least – lots of sex! Okay, that one would be on my list whether the world was ending or not.

Now, I pass this on to Cheesboy, Mr. Stupid, and Confessions of a Watery Tart! What would you do with your final days?

Serenity and Aliens? Looks like you have very similar taste to me. How about Blade Runner? That's my all-time fave.

I don't know about bothering to write a book if the end is actually coming. There seems little point to it then. Books need readers.

Why am I don't surprised by the last item on your list??

What a great meme theme! A lot of "important" things would certainly fall by the wayside, wouldn't they.

al those things sound awesome. I would probably have food in there somewhere though and I'm with you on the sex! Well not with you but you know. :D

Congrats on the award, Alex, well deserved, I've always knew you might be a source or the cause of the upcoming global apocalypse :))))

Previously this year, I translated a book THE TWELVE by William Gladstone, a stunning and warm bestseller on apocalypse coming on 12-21-2012. It gives a very warm look instead of the disastrous one.

What would I do? Well since I don't have a family, I'd like to spend my last days having wild sex with as many people as possible :)))))

Hello!

My first time on your fab blog!! And smack straight into the end of the world! LOL!

What will I do if the end is nigh?

Eat all the chocolate, cakes, crisps, chips, drink all adult beverages and just lie down and wait. After having sex of course! Prefably with Daniel Craig. :-)

Take care
x

Now THIS is an award worth having.

Thank you.

I shall complete in the next few days.

I would probably have to meditate until I reached enlightenment, then manifest a light saber out of anti-matter, turn myself into pure-energy, and go kick the dark side's ass.

Then I could have lots of sex without worrying about the end.

I would get my affairs in order to meet my maker. But I would also do some crazy stuff too. And charge it all. Creditors be damned!

OMG - now we have an "End of Days" award? Teehee, well that's gotta be just about the be all and end all, hmm?

And congrats, too. ;)

Ted, Blade Runner is an excellent movie. And if I can get the book done fast enough, there will still time to read it.

Palin, I get you! And you're right, it wouldn't matter what I ate at that point.

Dezz, that's a lofty goal! I'll look for The Twelve.

Michele, I have an awesome wife!

Yvonne, feel free to keep your lady secrets then.

Old Kitty, since they aren't doing any more Bond movies, I think Daniel Craig is available.

Matthew, I like your answer!

Stephen, creditors would be screwed!

Nancy, your family could just go live there!

Thanks everyone!

Love it Alex! I think though some of you r priorities need to be re-organized. Like that one at the bottom should really be at the top. And I don't think the world is gonna end in 2012. We are going to be lulled into a false sense of security and then BAM! 12-21-2013 the fit is gonna hit the shan. I expect to be rewarded upon the world's ending for this premonition. Cheers.

A very, very worthy list, Alex. It's all about you. What about Lindsay Lohan having to spend 12 horrific days in jail? What about all the money BP is losing in the clean-up? What about them? Huh?

I promise my last words will be "Bryan warned us!"

Helen, Lindsay Lohan will go on a drinking binge and unruly mobs will soak BP management in their own oil spill. At least that's my prediction...

Serenity is one of my all time faves too! I love those Firefly guys (Mal is my role model)...
Sports car, yeah, I'm up for that one also.

What other questions will someone come up with next. I hope things go past this date so I'll have more time with grandchildren.
But we never know do we?

That's a cool award, Alex. Congratulations. The driving fast, writing fast, and having lots of sex point to a very frantic lifestyle for the next 16 months. I wish I didn't now have that picture in my mind. Think aliens, aliens...

Sarah Callejo said...

Mmmm, this says a lot of you and all of it is funny.

Liza said...

Congratulations on your award. If that date would be the end, I'd travel to every place I've ever said: "Someday I want to go to___." Hmmm, there might not be enough time.

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

Rouge, we need more Firefly and Mal!

Patricia, I was just being real. And a little silly. Just keep thinking Aliens...

Sarah, my wife laughed at this list, too!

Chuck said...

Alex, those are all great things...several would make my list. I was glad to give you this award...you truly deserved it, and thanks for passing it on to more deserving bloggers!

WritingNut said...

Great list! I'd probably add my favorite foods in there as well ;)

Unknown said...

Probably much the same as I do now - though maybe with a bit more haste if I knew the end was coming.

Unknown said...

LOL! Oh Alex thanks for the laugh this early in the morning!

Congrats on the award! Enjoy the sex!:)

Hi Alex! If the end were near, I'd take the people I love to a fabulous island resort and live it up, only coming home when all my credit cards were maxed out. (We don't have to pay off our debt in this daydream, right?)

Hey, thanks so much for suggesting my blog to Dani Greer for the Little Pickle Press Blog Book Tour. I posted my review today and mentioned you at the bottom :D

Have a fab day!

Mel Chesley said...

Lmao! I think the sex thing would be right on the top of most people's lists. That and getting a huge amount of money from a loan shark and either going shopping or to a strip club. XD
I like the sports car idea! I've always said I wanted to go to Race Car Driving School. My husband doesn't call me Race Car Sally for nothing. ;)

Alex J. Cavanaugh said...

Chuck, thanks again.

Talli, I always enjoy that!

Glad it worked out, Nicole!

Mel, driving fast is always a priority.

The Man-Cave said...

Haha! What great choices Alex. May I say that your last choice would have my first. And call me a pig but hey...it's the end of the world and all.

Lola Sharp said...

CONGRATS on your (intriguing) award. :)
I loves me some apocalypse stories. (R U watching that new reality show on disc. ch.?)

Sorry I've been so bad about getting around to your blog (and everyone else's) I'm still catching up from vacation, and some other stuff. So much to do, so little time.

Hmmm...if I KNEW it was going to be the end of the world, I'd spend everything and travel with husband and kid.
There might be some sex involved.
The might be some expensive partying involved.
*champagne for everyone*

I too love to drive fast...cars, boats.

Cheeseboy said...

Okay Alex. I humbly accepted your award today. Check it out.

I hope you don't mind me spinning it.
