Eureka!

Continuing the A-Z Challenge from Arlee at Tossing it Out, today is E - and Eureka!

Have you heard of a little show on the SyFy channel named "Eureka"? Well, if you haven't, it's time to update the NetFlix queue and check out the first three seasons. The show centers on U.S. Marshal Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) who stumbles upon a remote town populated by geniuses, government secrets and amazing technology. Jack is tasked to become the new sheriff of Eureka and deals with a slew of killer tech, crazy scientists and the dark secrets of Global dynamics. This is a show with smart writing, witty humor and a great ensemble cast. Jack struggles with the dilemmas of the town and Zoe (Jordan Hinson), his rebellious teenage daughter. "Eureka" never takes itself too seriously and has a mission to entertain your socks off for an hour. If you enjoy adventurous, fun-spirited and funny science fiction, then I highly recommend this breath of fresh air. Get caught up on the first three seasons before season 4 begins Friday, July 9th at 9:00PM.

And I received two more awards!

First, the Picasso Award from Summer at And This Time Concentrate!

And the Prolific Blogger Award from Rayna at Coffee Rings Everywhere

Ladies, thank you so much. And I would like to echo Rayna's sentiments and pass both along to those of you participating in the A-Z Challenge. Arlee threw out the gauntlet and we have risen to the challenge!

This sounds like an awesome show :) I'll have to check it out soon. I remember hearing about it a while back but not really getting into it (I thought it was some kind of documentary, hehe).

I'm a Eureka fan. Loved the first few seasons, last season fell a little flat for me, but hopefully the new season will be more entertaining.

EUREKA is still on?!?
I watch STAR TREK as mine own daily relaxing ritual before I go to sleep :) I've finished watching VOYAGER and now I'm off to ENTERPRISE. Off course I've seen all the episodes for God knows how many times, but they just never get boring and they make me sleep better :)

Sounds like a good programme, but unfortunately don't get it here in England.
Congrats on the awards, well deserved.

I've caught a snippit of Eureka here and there. Just another one of those shows for me to catch up on.

For now, Syfy is Stargate Universe!

i've only caught a few episodes of eureka. Each one i liked, but it was on at a bad time for us. At some point i'll watch it (hopefully when Netflix makes it availble for Instant Play and i can watch it through my xbox)

I'm with Summer - right now it's Stargate Universe for us

Jamie, you will enjoy it - great humor.

All right CC, another Eureka fan!

Dez, I was worried. The third season ended with closure, so thought they might cancel it. And watching from start to finish is the best way to see all of the Star Trek shows. I've already been through them via NetFlix.

Summer, it appears the folks at SyFy listened and all but apologized for the previous direction of Universe. The first episode last Friday was awesome!

I am pretty sure we don't have Eureka in India, but when they do show it (if they do), I'll make sure I catch at least some of it.

And congratulations on the other Award- I'll take it!

My husband loves that show. He'll be happy to hear it's coming back soon.
Congrats on the awards!

Thanks, everyone.
Best part of Eureka is the humor. It's lighter than SG1 but not corny.

I'd definitely like to check that out. God, I love science fiction. It makes me so happy.

Congrats on your awards! You deserve them.

Don't think it's really on in the UK, but I actually have seen odd episodes of Eureka when I've been abroad.... Although, it's the kind of show that foreign broadcasters have a habit of showing out of order. Which makes them very odd episodes sometimes :)

Where we live, we can't get cable, so I've never heard of Eureka. It sounds like fun (and smart). I think I'll look for it at the video store.

Thanks!

B. Miller, it will make you happy!

Hampshire, I'm sure that does make them a little odd...

Raquel, I'm just amazed it's survived this far.

Thanks Marvin!

Eureka! Sounds like a great show. I am going to have to check it out. How do you get to review movies and and I pad? That's so cool. I'd love to too. Where do I sign up!? :) Congrats on your award.

Carol, I am just a movie junkie with a NetFlix addiction.
And my iPad was shipped today and is crossing the Atlantic from China even as we speak!

I really enjoy Eureka! It's a fun show. I don't have time to follow too many shows each and every week. I love that this show is one I can watch when I can catch it and not feel lost. Smart writing.

I like Eureka a lot but as I don't have cable anymore, I will be Netflixing the rest of it in time. I recently finished all of SG-1 (for the millionth time) and now going through Atlantis and TNG (also for the millionth time).

Eureka is one of my favorite shows. I agree with Creative Chronicler that the first couple of seasons were the best, but its still good. With some of the cast moving into new shows I was worried about cancellation, but it all worked out. The awards be good. LOL
